MINUTES
NOVEMBER 9, 2015
THE ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING OF THE RICHMOND CITY COUNCIL
WAS CALLED TO ORDER AT 8:00 P.M., ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 2015,
BY MAYOR RIX.
ROLL CALL
Present: Allen, Greene, LaFore, Misteravich, Rix, Warn, Yaroch
Absent: None
Others: City Manager Moore, City Clerk Stagl
Visitors: Sue Misteravich, Kyle Misteravich, Kevin Misteravich, Jeff Greene, Luke
Greene, Doug MacMartin, James Allen, Deborah Smith, Ron Smith,
Lenore Warn, Lorie Rix, Matt Rix, Alicia Rix, Rachael Churchill and Mayor
Rix's Grandchildren
ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION
1. Swearing in of the Newly Elected City Council Members
Council members Emily Allen, Jaime Greene, and John Warn, elected at the November
3, 2015, General City Election, stood and were administered the Oath of Office by City
Clerk Stagl.
2. Selection of Mayor
Mayor Rix called for nominations for the Office of Mayor
Jeff Yaroch nominated Tim Rix.
No further nominations were received.
Motion by LaFore, seconded by Greene, to close nominations for the Office of Mayor
All yeas Motion passes
Councilors marked their ballots and passed them to the Clerk.
The votes were read aloud by the Clerk as follows:

Jaime Greene voted for Tim Rix
Emily Allen voted for Tim Rix
John Warn voted for Tim Rix
Dennis LaFore voted for Tim Rix
Mike Misteravich voted for Tim Rix
Tim Rix voted for Tim Rix
By unanimous vote, Tim Rix was elected as Mayor for the 2015-2017 Council Term.
3. Administering Oath of Office to the Mayor
City Clerk Stagl administered the Oath of Office to the newly elected Mayor – Tim Rix.
4. Selection of Mayor Pro-Tempore
Mayor Rix called for nominations for the Office of Mayor Pro-Tempore.
Yaroch nominated Jaime Greene
LaFore nominated Mike Misteravich
No further nominations were received.
Motion by Greene, seconded by LaFore, to close nominations for the Office of Mayor
Pro-Tempore.
All yeas Motion passes
Councilors marked their ballots and passed them to the Clerk.
The votes were read aloud by the Clerk as follows:
John Warn voted for Mike Misteravich
Jaime Greene voted for Jaime Greene
Emily Allen voted for Mike Misteravich
Jeff Yaroch voted for Jaime Greene
Mike Misteravich voted for Mike Misteravich
Tim Rix voted for Mike Misteravich
Dennis LaFore voted for Mike Misteravich
By a vote of five (5) to two (2), Mike Misteravich was elected as Mayor Pro-Tempore for
the 2015-2017 Council Term.
5. Administering Oath of Office to the Mayor Pro-Tempore
City Clerk Stagl administered the Oath of Office to the newly elected Mayor Pro-
Tempore – Mike Misteravich

COUNCIL COMMENTS
LaFore – Congratulated the new Council members.
Yaroch – Welcomed the new Council members. He has been honored to serve with the
existing Council – we may disagree at times – everyone has the best interest of the City
in mind.
Warn – Thanked everyone who voted for him.
Allen – Thanked all of the residents who voted for her. Very excited to be on Council – it
is very special to her.
Greene – Thanked her husband for his support during her term on Council and through
the recent election campaign. Thanked all of the residents who voted for her.
Misteravich – Welcomed the new Council members. Thanked Council for their votes for
him as Mayor Pro-Tem – he is honored. Thanked his family for their support.
Rix – Very proud of Council and the work they have accomplished – they have worked
together well. Excited to keep moving forward with the new Council members.
ADJOURNMENT
Motion by Misteravich, seconded by Greene, to adjourn the regular meeting at 8:14
p.m.
