ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION
1. Consideration of the sale of the Fire Engine
City Council considered the sale of the City’s current Engine 1 (2009 HME Engine) through
Company Two Truck Sales. At their August 1, 2022 meeting, City Council approved a contract
with Rosenbauer in the amount of $638,927 for the purchase of a new Fire Engine. This motion
also included the language “and authorize the RVFD to work with Company Two Truck Sales on
the sale of the existing engine.” The Fire Department from New Paris Ohio has made an offer on
the City’s engine that the RVFD feel is acceptable.
Motion by Reindel, seconded by Warn, to Approve the purchase offer from Northwest Fire
and Ambulance District in the amount of $145,000.00 for the 2009 HME Engine.
Discussion on Motion:
Misteravich brought up the possibility of the buyer wanting to pay less than the $145,000 once
they have gone over the truck in person, should we authorize the City Manager and Fire Chief to

Motion by Allen, seconded by Misteravich, to amend the main motion to include the
following language “Approve the purchase offer from Northwest Fire and Ambulance District in
