STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF BRAZORIA CITY OF RICHWOOD BE IT KNOWN, that the CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT BOARD met on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at 6:00 P.M. in Regular Session at Richwood City Hall in Council Chambers located at 1800 N. Brazosport Boulevard, Richwood, TX 77531 CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm by Jessica Lorenz, Vice President and presiding officer. ROLL CALL OF BOARD MEMBERS Roll call showed the following members present: Jessica Lorenz, Vice President Randy Day Randy Accord Kat Venegas Justin Gatlin A quorum was declared. Others present included Bryan Corb, Police Chief. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MINUTES On motion by Ms. Venegas, seconded by Mr. Day, with all members present voting aye, the minutes of October 26, 2016 were approved as presented. ANYONE WISHING TO ADDRESS THE BOARD Chief Corb advised the board that the police department is looking at a replacement vehicle along with a fingerprinting machine to streamline the process for the officers as they process inmates. Total amount would be $63K, however Chief Corb was still obtaining pricing and will bring this information back to the board in April of 2017. DISCUSSION AND ACTION ITEMS Part time Warrant Officer and Bailiff Chief Corb advised the board that council had approved the position. Chief Corb advised the position would be part time and consist of 24 hours a week. The officer will work as a bailiff for municipal court and work municipal warrants. On motion by Randy Day second by Randy Accord with all present members voting “aye” the part time warrant office and bailiff position was approved. Account Review Chief Corb advised the board of total money in the account to date, Chief Corb deducted for the warrant/bailiff positon which ($21,216.00) so the total in the account will be $115,241.77. Chief Corb mentioned that at the last meeting, it was discussed to leave a balance of $50K in the account at all times unless an emergency existed and board approval was obtained. Deducting the $50K would then leave a balance of $65,241.77 in the account. Set next meeting date and time The next meeting was set for April 4, 2017 at 6pm. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS There was no discussion or action on this item. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 6:30 pm.
