Minutes of Crime Control and Prevention District Board Public Hearing & Special Meeting of Thursday, June 6, 2019 BE IT KNOWN THAT, a Public Hearing & Special Meeting of the Crime Control and Prevention District Board of City of Richwood was held Thursday, June 6, 2019, beginning at 6:00 PM in the Richwood City Hall, 1800 N. Brazosport Blvd. Richwood, Texas. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 6:06 p.m. ROLL CALL OF COUNCIL MEMBERS Brian Allen - ABSENT Randy Day – Vice Chair Randy Accord – Chair Kathy Vickers – ABSENT Kat Venegas Lauren LaCount – ABSENT Buster Primm Others present: Stephen Mayer, Police Chief; Giani Cantu, City Secretary; David Thompson, Chaplain; Katie Johnson, Council liaison PUBLIC COMMENTS All public comments will be subject to the following rules: all speakers will be permitted to speak no longer than 3 minutes; all speakers will only be permitted to speak once; speakers cannot defer their 3 minutes to another speaker; the first five individuals who sign up for the public comment section will be permitted to speak David Thompson, Chaplain, reported that Chief Mayer has done a great job for the City. APPROVAL OF MINUTES June 19, 2018 Ms. Cantu reported that when copying a previous agenda from the prior year, she failed to remove the minutes. No minutes were presented or approved. DISCUSSION AND ACTION ITEMS Public hearing and action on proposed FY 2019-2020 CCPD Budget The public hearing was called at 6:07 p.m. Buster Primm asked if the proposed FY 2019-2020 CCPD budget included the additional $10,000 for community outreach. Ms. Cantu reported yes. The public hearing closed at 6:12 p.m. On motion by Buster Primm second by Randy Day with all present members voting “aye” the FY 2019-2020 Proposed Budget of CCPD was approved for presentation to City Council. SET NEXT MEETING DATE The next meeting was set for September 5, 2019. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS No items were presented. ADJOURNMENT On motion by Buster Primm second by Randy Day with all present members voting “aye” the meeting adjourned at 6:15 p.m. These minutes were read and approved on this 5th day of September, 2019.
