MINUTES KEEP RICHWOOD BEAUTIFUL COMMISSION MEETING Tuesday, November 01, 2022 at 6:00 PM BE IT KNOWN THAT a City of Richwood Keep Richwood Beautiful Commission will meet Tuesday, November 1, 2022, beginning at 6:00 PM at Richwood City Hall, located at 1800 Brazosport Blvd. N., Richwood, Texas 77531 with the following agenda: I. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. II. ROLL CALL OF MEMBERS PRESENT Becky Becky Thompson Janet Janet Ellis Jeremy Jeremy Fountain Amanda Amanda Reynolds ABSENT Lindsie Lindsie Yearsin III. PUBLIC COMMENTS There was no public comment. IV. REPORT ON RECENT EVENTS A. Fall Sweep / Larry Johnson Park Upgrade Kimberly reported they were able to get the geodome built, had plans to get the treehouse done but once it was unpacked, we realized we were short two boxes of materials.Sams was contacted and its in the works to correct the problem. Two rolloff bins were out and after a little confusion it worked out. B. Trunk or Treat, October 28, 2022 Trunk or Treat was a great success. Overflow from Polk was helpful Discussion held on how the overflow from the school helps out with attendance. V. UPCOMING EVENTS A. Veterans Day, Flag Placement November 11, 2022 Kimberly stated that William Yearsin usually does it for us. Will check in with him to see if he wants to put the flags out. B. Christmas In the Park Kimberly went over the details December 16 6p-8p Cookies Hot Choc Letters Crafts C. Earth Day, 2023 Amanda presented a Earth day event idea. April 22, 2022 VI. DISCUSSION AND ACTION ITEMS A. Discussion and possible action regarding remaining phases of Larry Johnson Park Upgrade. Kimberly stated she will stay on top of the missing equipment. Will remove this weekend from our events since we are at a stand still. She will update when she knows more. B. Discussion and possible action regarding project plans for GCAA funds. Kimberly updated on her meeting with Ethan from TXDOT. Narrowed it down to the bridge area from Richwood to LJ TXDOT needs info on the specific design on lamp post. VII. FINANCIAL REPORT Kimberly reported recent expenses. VIII. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR'S REPORT November 19, 2022, will be the garden orientation day from 9am-11am Kimberly reported on a brocolli plant experiment that will be planted in the garden. She advised a master gardener in Richwood offered to assist, she added that this was a great partnership opportunity. IX. ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND ITEMS OF COMMUNITY INTEREST No report. X. SET NEXT MEETING DATE December 6, 2022 XI. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS Park Bylaw Review Earth Day Volunteer Hour XII.
