City Council Meeting

City Council Meeting January 11, 2021 The regular Riverdale City Council meeting of January 11, 2021 was called to order at 6:00 PM by President Orth. Present: Jerry Orth, Garth Zimbelman, Dick Cheatley, Jonna Taylor and Auditor Del Kolke Absent: Ken Skuza Taylor moved to approve the December 14, 2020 meeting minutes. Cheatley seconded. Motion carried. Cheatley moved to approve the bills. Taylor seconded. Motion carried. Taylor moved to approve the agenda. Cheatley seconded. Motion carried. Guest: AJ Tuck, Ulteig Engineers, reported eight (8) contractors bid on the Morning Star Campground Water Supply Project. Cheatley moved to award project to D.L. Barkie Construction for $169,105 contingent upon ND Dept. of Environmental Quality’s approval. Taylor seconded. Motion carried. Taylor moved to authorize council president and city auditor to sign contract and other related documents. Zimbelman seconded. Motion carried. Reports: Orth indicated burning of the landfill will take place once sufficient moisture has been received. Zimbelman reported Otter Tail Power found the source of two (2) of the reported three (3) electrical issues and repairs were made. Next meeting is scheduled for Monday, February 8 at 6:00 PM.
