City Council Meeting

City Council Meeting December 13, 2021 The regular Riverdale City Council meeting of December 13, 2021 was called to order at 6:00 by President Orth. Present: Jerry Orth, Garth Zimbelman, Dick Cheatley, Jonna Taylor and Auditor Del Kolke Taylor moved to approve the November 8, 2021 meeting minutes. Cheatley seconded. Motion carried. Taylor moved to approve the bills. Zimbelman seconded. Motion carried. Cheatley moved to approve the agenda. Taylor seconded. Motion carried. New Business: Cheatley moved to approve quote in the amount of $61,258 from Tecta America for replacement of water treatment plant roof. Taylor seconded. Motion carried. Cheatley moved to accept cost estimate of $3,450.12 from Corps of Engineers to rebuild three (3) raw water pumps. Taylor seconded. Motion carried. Reports: Fire department upgraded vehicle lights and ordered a thermal imaging camera. Final single audit report will be available by the end of the year. City hall will be closed December 23-24 (Christmas) and December 31 (New Year’s). Auditor will also be taking time off during the holiday season. Orth requested employee reviews be completed by council. Zimbelman instructed auditor to send letters to congressional delegation requesting assistance with the installation of the recloser in the switchyard. Taylor indicated renewal paperwork for Morning Star Campground has been sent. Next meeting is scheduled for Monday, January 10 at 6:00 PM.
