City Council Meeting

City Council Meeting February 14, 2022 The regular Riverdale City Council meeting of February 14, 2022 was called to order at 6:00 PM by President Orth. Present: Jerry Orth, Garth Zimbelman, Dick Cheatley, Jonna Taylor and Auditor Del Kolke Taylor moved to approve the January 10, 2022 meeting minutes. Zimbelman seconded. Motion carried. Cheatley moved to approve the bills. Zimbelman seconded. Motion carried. Taylor moved to approve the agenda. Zimbelman seconded. Motion carried. Old Business: Taylor moved to accept Option No. 1 for Coffee House flooring which will have the City contribute 50% of the cost ($2,787.89) and Riverdale-Pick City Women’s Club the remaining amount. Cheatley seconded. Motion carried. New Business: Taylor presented several options for campground picnic tables. Zimbelman moved to table for further review. Taylor seconded. Motion carried. Reports: Auditor will pursue a new computer to replace current one purchased in 2016. The current machine will be used for meter readings. A Ferguson Waterworks representative will attend a future meeting and apprise council of updated meter reading options. Auditor is reviewing personnel policy and planning and zoning ordinances to bring documents up to date and ensure accuracy. Taylor reported WRT will have WiFi service to Morning Star Campground completed in April and ready for May opening date. Cheatley noted the replacement router will be installed by AE2S in March. Water treatment facility generator may be converted to automatic start. Water Advisory Council met for a meeting and tour of the water plant. Updating water supply agreement is necessary. Zimbelman indicated a congressional response was received from Representative Armstrong’s office requesting assistance from Corps of Engineers and Western Area Power Association for installation of recloser in the switchyard. An electrical issue was reported and repaired by Otter Tail Power. 02/14/2022 Page 2 Orth informed council landfill was burned today. Front end loader requires fuel injector repair. Employee evaluation reviews will be scheduled for February 25. Next meeting is scheduled for Monday, March 14 at 6:00 PM. Meeting adjourned at 6:45 PM.
