City Council Meeting

City Council Meeting April 10, 2023 The regular Riverdale City Council meeting of April 10, 2023 was called to order at 6:00 PM by Mayor Taylor. Present: Alex Taylor, Garth Zimbelman, Dave Fryda, Mike Dirk, Dick Cheatley and Auditor Del Kolke Zimbelman moved to approve the consent agenda which includes change to meeting agenda. Fryda seconded. Motion carried. Guests: Moore Engineering representatives stated DL Barkie will resume gate valve replacements this spring when weather allows with a pre-construction meeting held prior to work commencing. Ken Skuza, ND Game & Fish Department warden, has received calls pertaining to raccoons, skunks and coyotes in city limits. Live trapping of skunks and raccoons will continue. Council approved non-lethal methods be used for coyotes. Old Business: Cheatley moved to contract with Interstate Engineering for building inspector services. Dirk seconded. Motion carried. A meeting to address specifics will be forthcoming. City council meeting minutes will continue to be posted to the website and also published in the official newspaper (Central McLean News-Journal). New Business: Dirk moved to approve Building Permit No. 23-1 for modification of Building Permit No. 22-5 on Lot 1 Block 24 Original Townsite. Fryda seconded. Motion carried. Reports: Taylor reported roads in John Adams Addition need work. A pallet jack will be purchased to assist in unloading materials. Dirk noted J2 Studio will be on-site this week to assess plaza buildings and develop options for consideration. Crack sealing material will be ordered. Cheatley mentioned all three (3) pumps at the power house are up and running. Turbidity meters and various stock parts have been ordered.
