MISSION STATEMENT
The City of Riverside Public Utilities Department is committed to the highest quality
water and electric services at the lowest possible rates to benefit the community
The City of Riverside wishes to make all of its public meetings accessible to the public.
Upon request, this agenda will be made available in appropriate alternative formats to

of 1990. Any person who requires a modification or accommodation in order to participate

2 Approval of the regular minutes from the Board of Public Utilities meeting
held on September 5, 2014.

CONSENT CALENDAR
All matters listed under the CONSENT CALENDAR are considered routine by the Board
of Public Utilities and may be enacted by one motion in the form listed below. There will
be no separate discussion of these items unless, before the Board of Public Utilities votes
on the motion to adopt, Members of the Board of Public Utilities or the Public Utilities
General Manager, or his designee, request specific items be removed from the Consent
Calendar for separate action. Removed consent items will be discussed immediately after
adoption of the balance of the Consent Calendar.
Electric Items
3 APPROVAL OF WORK ORDER NO. 1502504 AND PURCHASE OF 69 KV
CIRCUIT BREAKERS FOR THE RIVERSIDE SUBSTATION BAY 4 BREAKER
REPLACEMENT PROJECT
That the Board of Public Utilities:
1. Approve Work Order No. 1502504 in the amount of $382,351; and
2. Approve the award of a Purchase Order in the amount of $140,142 to McAvoy
& Markham Engineering and Sales Co. of Irvine, California, for three 69 kV circuit
breakers and associated equipment for the Riverside Substation Bay 4 Breaker
Replacement Project.

4 UNDERGROUND ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION NEAR KRAMERIA AVENUE
AND ALTA CRESTA AVENUE FOR NEW TRACT 32997 - WORK ORDER NO.

That the Board of Public Utilities approve the estimated capital expenditure of
$190,000 for Work Order No. 1415539 for the installation of electrical distribution
facilities for Tract 32997.

5 CUSTOMER INFORMATION SYSTEM REPLACEMENT PROJECT –
CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT COMPUTER UPGRADES
That the Board of Public Utilities approve the issuance of a purchase order to Dell,
in the amount of $97,103.73, for replacement computers and upgrades to existing
computers as part of the Customer Information System Implementation Project.

6 LONG RANGE PLANNING EFFORTS FOR RIVERSIDE PUBLIC UTILITIES
NORTHSIDE REAL PROPERTY ASSETS; EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS
That the Board of Public Utilities approve the expenditure of $77,000 for long
range planning efforts related to Riverside Public Utilities' Northside properties
including the Ab Brown Soccer Complex and the former Riverside Golf Club.

That the Board of Public Utilities approve the estimated capital expenditure of
$1,577,100 for Work Order No. 1319390 for the Magnolia 4 kV to 12 kV
Conversion Overhead Project.

8 TERMINATION OF FUNDING AGREEMENT NO. 50124B02 WITH CALIFORNIA
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH FOR THE UPPER GAGE EXCHANGE
PROJECT
That the Board of Public Utilities recommend that the City Council authorize
termination of Funding Agreement No. 50124B02 with the California Department of
Public Health for the Upper Gage Exchange Project in the amount of $4,609,500.
