Special Meeting of the Infrastructure Committee
Held in the Conference Room in City Hall
May 26, 2016
Notice of this meeting was given to the public in compliance with Sections 10-15-1 through
10-15-4, NMSA 1978 and Resolution 15-56.
ROLL CALL
The meeting convened at 3:30 p.m. with Chair Best presiding and Councilors Oropesa,
Sanchez and Grant being present.
Staff Present: Kevin Dillon, Sharon Coll, Jim Thomas, Bill Morris and Bernadette Lopez.
Guests Present: None
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Councilor Grant moved to approve the May 26, 2016 Special Infrastructure Committee
Meeting Agenda as presented. Councilor Sanchez seconded the motion. A voice vote
was unanimous and the motion passed.
REGULAR ITEMS (ACTION ITEMS)
ITB-16-045 – Roswell Museum Bridge Project – Consider Award of Bid: Mr. Thomas
handed out the bid tab for this project. Out of eleven plans that were handed out, only
five were returned. The low bidder was Vantage Engineering & Construction. Mr. Dillon
stated the Engineering Department will maintain the budget until completion of project.
Councilor Grant moved to approve Vantage Engineering & Construction for the Roswell
Museum Bridge and recommend to full City Council. Councilor Oropesa was the second.
A voice vote was unanimous and the motion passed.
ITB-16-046-Sewer Manhole Rehabilitation Project 2016 – Consider Award of Bid: Mr.
Thomas handed out the bid tab for this project. There was only one bid at opening.
Councilor Grant would like to get additional manholes. Councilor Grant moved to send to
full City Council, Award of Bid, ITB-16-046 for Sewer Manhole Rehabilitation project to
Corrosion Resistant Coatings from Elephant Butte, New Mexico in the amount of
$239,985.15. Councilor Sanchez was the second. A voice vote was unanimous and
motion passed.
ITB-16-047 – Kerr Station Valve Replacements – Consider Award of Bid: Mr. Dillon stated
this item has been postponed for two weeks (June 9, 2016) due to issues with the specs.
