Call To Order Board Vice-Chair Megan Cederberg called meeting to order at 12:14 p.m. B. Roll Call Members Present: Megan Cederberg, with Donna Daniel and Marie Manning via GoToMeeting. Members Absent: Matt Pacheco Staff Present: Kathy Lay Guests Present: Juno Ogle, with Melissa Urias via GoTo Meeting C. Approval of Agenda Member Daniel motioned to approve the agenda for the September 26, 2022 KRB Board meeting, Member Manning was the second. A voice vote was as follows: Member Cederberg-yes, Member Daniel-yes, Member Manning-yes, and the motion passed 3-0 with Members Daniel and Manning participating via GoToMeeting; and Member Pacheco being absent. D. Approval of Minutes 1. Member Daniel motioned to approve the minutes of the August 29, 2022 meeting, Member Manning was the second. A voice vote was as follows: Member Cederberg-yes, Member Daniel-yes, Member Manning-yes, and the motion passed 3-0 with Members Daniel and Manning participating via GoToMeeting; and Member Pacheco being absent. E. Action Items 2. Discussion and vote to recommend appointment of Melissa Urias to the KRB Board. Member Cederberg called for discussion of recommendation to appoint Melissa Urias to the KRB Board. Member Daniel motioned to approve recommendation to appoint Melissa Urias as a member of the KRB Board, Member Manning was the second. A voice vote was as follows: Member Cederberg-yes, Member Daniel-yes, Member Manning-yes, and the motion passed 3-0 with Members Daniel and Manning participating via GoToMeeting; and Member Pacheco being absent. F. Non-Action Items 3. Discussion of Fall Community Clean-up Oct 15 Staff coordinator Lay shared that the event will be held from 8:30-10:30 at the Poe Corn Park (700 E. 2nd St) and that Xcel Energy is arranging LED lightbulbs for KRB to give volunteers. The Hispano Chamber will be sponsoring breakfast burritos, coffee, and coupons for a free meal with drink as volunteer incentives. 4. Discussion Recycled Art/Craft Table at Science & Art Festival Oct 8 Staff coordinator Lay shared that KRB would have a table at the event from 10am-4pm with several recycled art/craft activities and that supplies have been purchased and sample projects have been made. G. Information Items 5. Community Mural at Roswell Museum Kathy Lay informed the attendees that the artist has signed the contract and KRB has received an invoice. The artist will be meeting with Ms Lay to share the design and work will begin on the mural in the next few weeks. 6. FY23 Grant update Kathy Lay shared that the FY23 grant agreement has been finalized and the invoice for first half payment of grant award has been submitted to the state. 7. KRB Table at First Responder’s Bash Oct 1 Kathy Lay shared that KRB has been invited to have a table at the event to share information about the KRB program, such as the upcoming Fall Clean-up, the youth fundraiser program and free clean-up supplies. H. Public Comments Kathy Lay shared that she has received several invitations to teach lessons by teachers and has scheduled presentations about volunteering and the KRB program for a class at Berrendo Middle School and 5 classes at the Roswell High School.
