BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MINUTES May 18, 2015 The Russellville Board of Adjustment met in its Regular Meeting, Monday, May 15, 2015, at 5:00 p.m. in the Russellville, Arkansas City Hall Council Chambers. Members Present: Acting-Chair Eric Westcott, Secretary Wesley White, and Member Jim Sims, and Member Mike Wilkins Members Absent: Chairman Blake Tarpley Visitors Present: City Planner David Harris, City Attorney Trey Smith, City Engineer Kurt Jones, Planning Assistant Lequitta Jones, Building Official Brian Holstein, Fire Marshall Setian, Planning Assistant Lequitta Jones, and Juanebe D. Allison Welcome The First Order of Business was review and approval of the April 27, 2015 minutes. Member White made the motion to approve the minutes as written. The motion was seconded by Member Wilkins and passed unanimously. The Second Order of Business was a Public Hearing requesting review and approval for a variance of 2' from the 6' maximum fence height (ZC 3.6.1) to allow replacement of a deteriorated 6' privacy fence with a new 8' privacy fence along the rear property line at 516 Oak Hill Lane. Submitted by Russell & Juanebe Allison. (BOA-15.05.3613) Mr. Harris said this is just for the fence across the rear of the yard. The proposed fence will impact just a single other property. That adjoining property is at a higher elevation than the applicant's property, which creates the need for the extra height and that is the reason they would like to go higher. It is hard to see how it would have any negative impact whatsoever on any neighboring properties. I think it is a reasonable request. Mrs. Juanebe Allison said she had no comments other than due to the elevation of the land we would like to replace the 6-foot fence with an 8-foot fence. Member Sims asked if there had been any phone calls from the neighbors. City Planner Harris said "no". Member Wilkins made the motion to approve as submitted.
