CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING 5:00 p.m., July 28, 2015 1st Floor Conference Room, City Hall Commissioners: City/Department Representatives Toni Bachman, Chairman (Present) Freddie Harris, City Council Liaison (Present) Bert Fleck (Present) Trey Smith, City Attorney (Absent) Jim Campbell (Present) Jeff Humphrey, Police Chief (Present) Phillip Lea (Present) John Cochran, Fire Chief (Present) Garrie Kellam (Absent) Tracey Cline-Pew, Human Resources (Present) MEETING MINUTES Toni Bachman, Chairman called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. The Commission reviewed the minutes of the June 23, 2015 meeting. Bert Fleck made a motion that the minutes be approved. Phillip Lea seconded the motion and the minutes were approved. Old Business Civil Service Commission  Toni Bachman advised the Commission that Phillip Lea had been reappointed to another term by the City Council during their July meeting.  The first reading of the Civil Service Commission Rules and Regulations was tabled until the August meeting so that minor revisions could be made and the press notified. Police Department  None. Fire Department  Chief Cochran requested that dates be set in October for entry-level testing. The open dates in October are October 3, 10 and 17, 2015. The dates will be reviewed at the August meeting. NEW BUSINESS Civil Service Commission  Toni Bachman advised that Mary Margaret Pratt with the Arkansas Blood Bank would like to set a blood drive with the Police and Fire Departments. She will contact the Chief's to discuss. Police Department  None. Fire Department   None. At 5:56 p.m. Phillip Lea made a motion that the meeting be adjourned. Jim Campbell seconded the motion and the meeting was dismissed.
