CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING 5:00 p.m., April 23, 2019 Central Fire Station, El Paso Avenue, Russellville Commissioners: City/Department Representatives: Phillip Lea, Chairman Present Trey Smith, City Attorney Present Toni Bachman Present Jeff Humphrey, Police Chief Absent Bert Fleck Absent Kirk Slone, Fire Chief Present Jim Horton Present Brent Hamm, Battalion Chief Present Jason Ramsey Present Tanessa Vaughn, Human Resources Present Ray Watkins Absent Shawn Harris, City Council Liaison Absent Ruben Camacho Present Carey James, Captain Present Meeting Minutes Chairman Phillip Lea called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. The Commission reviewed the minutes of the March meeting. Toni Bachman made a motion that the minutes be approved. Ruben Camacho seconded the motion and the minutes were approved. Chairman Report  Effects of Act 206 and Act 973 of 92nd General Assembly were discussed. Police Department Report Fire Department Report OLD BUSINESS Civil Service Commission  None Police  None. Fire  None. NEW BUSINESS Civil Service Commission The Commission updated the police department eligibility list. Toni Bachman made a motion to update the list and it was seconded by Ruben Camacho. All approved. Fire  May 4, 2019 tier testing, PAT and interviews. May 11, 2019 written exam for entry level firefighters. Police   Carey James presented a revised list of our factors for consideration for new hires. The Commission voted to table the list until the next meeting. Jason Ramsey made a motion to table and it was seconded by Toni Bachman. All approved.  Promotional testing May 13th and 17th for two ranks. At 5:30 p.m. Chairman Lea adjourned the meeting.
