RUSSELLVILLE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MINUTES May 25, 2021, 5:00 p.m., Police Station, Russellville and Online via Google Meets Commissioners: City/Department Representatives: Phillip Lea, Chairman Present Trey Smith, City Attorney, Present Toni Bachman, Present David Ewing, Police Chief, Present Jon Brown, Present Kirk Slone, Fire Chief Present Ruben Camacho, Present Brent Moix, Battalion Chief, Present Bert Fleck, Present Tanessa Vaughn, Human Resources Present Mark Lykins, Present Meeting Minutes Chairman Lea called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. The Commission welcomed new Commissioner, Jon Brown. The Commission welcomed new Fire Department liaison, Brent Moix. Moix replaces long-time liaison Brent Hamm, who is retiring from the department. Minutes Reviewed -- The Commission reviewed the minutes for February 23, March 9, and April 27, 2021. Lykins moved and Bachman seconded the motion to approve the minutes as presented. The Commission approved the minutes. OLD BUSINESS  None NEW BUSINESS Commission  The Commission held the annual election of officers: Phillip Lea was reelected Chairman. Bert Fleck was reelected Executive Secretary. Police Dept  Arrangements were made to support new-hire testing June 5 and 12 and Lieutenant promotional June 8.  The Commission entered executive session to discuss the applicants on the Police New Hire List. The Commission exited executive motion and voted to edit the new hire list. Fire Dept  The date August 25, 2021 was set for Battalion Chief promotional testing. At 5:34 p.m. the meeting adjourned.
