Council Meeting

Regular Council Meeting April 9, 2024 Mayor Stan Townsend called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. In attendance were Darwin Sietsema, Chris McCurdy, and Stu Peterson. Absent was Brian Baartman. Also in attendance was Darrin Haroldson. All those in attendance recited the Pledge of Allegiance. Minutes of the March meeting and March 25, 2024 Special Meeting were approved by M/Peterson 2/Sietsema/cd unanimously. Wastewater Supervisor, Darrin Haroldson gave the council his report for the month of March and answered the council’s questions. It was approved to purchase a 2002 Artic Cat 375 4-wheeler from Jeremy Reber for $2500.00 by M/Peterson 2/Sietsema/cd. The March bills were presented and approved by M/Sietsema 2/McCurdy/cd. Renewal of liquor license for Lorrissa Lingen at the Sunset Bar & Grill was approved pending proof of liquor liability insurance by M/Peterson 2/Sietsema/cd unanimously. It was discussed to change the rates for camping to a nightly, weekly, and monthly basis. Nightly would remain at $15.00 per night. Weekly rates will be $90.00 per week and the monthly rates will be $350.00 per month. These rates were approved along with updating the Master Fee Schedule by M/Sietsema 2/McCurdy/cd unanimously. The garbage weight and size of garbage bag allowed will also be added to the Master Fee Schedule. The meeting adjourned at 7:53 p.m. by M/Sietsema 2/McCurdy/cd.
