being retrofitted with LED lighting. Staff will be completing an irrigation project on the

The Department received a grant to complete a tree inventory and assessment. The grant
includes funding to hire an Arborist to lead the counting project with volunteers. The Town's
Tree City USA application was approved; the only agency to receive approval in Arizona.
There is nothing new to report on the status of the Pollinator Garden grant. The splash pad
and all inclusive playground are on hold due to the necessity of a sewer line, which will be
designed this spring. Staff submitted a Capital Improvement Project request for construction
of the sewer line for next fiscal year.
Recreation programming included a Winter Fun Club. Upcoming programs are pickleball
clinics, new art classes for all ages, a Rodeo Fun Club and Leap Year dance. The holiday
lighting was increased for the Winter Festival and parade. Bark-A-Rama at Anamax, with
demonstrations, vendors and contests was well attended. Beginning in April the Lake
Concerts are at 7 p.m.
There is a number of initiatives in the budget request for drinking fountains, supplies to help
with in house projects and a disc golf course. The budget process includes a series of review
