Town Council Meeting Agenda Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.02 notice is hereby given to the public that the Sahuarita Town Council will hold a meeting at the date and time specified below at the Sahuarita Council Chambers, 375 West Sahuarita Center Way, Sahuarita, AZ. Members of the Town of Sahuarita Council will attend either in person or by telephone conference call. To better serve our community, the Sahuarita Council Chambers is wheelchair accessible. Persons with a disability may request a reasonable accommodation, such as a sign language interpreter, by contacting the Town Clerk’s Office at 520-822-8801. Invocation The Invocation will be given by Pastor Brent Salsbury from Grace Church of Sahuarita. Our invocations are provided by volunteers, and presenters will be accepted and welcomed regardless of religious affiliation. Interested parties may contact the Town Clerk. 3. Call to the Public At this time, any member of the public is invited to address the Town Council on any issue which is on tonight’s Consent Agenda or on any issue which the Town Council can lawfully act upon at a future meeting. Written comments regarding any item on the agenda or on any issue which the Town Council can lawfully act upon may be submitted prior to the beginning of the council meeting for distribution to the Town Council. Pursuant to the Arizona Open Meeting Laws, the Council may not discuss the items, but individual members of the Council may respond to criticism made by those who have addressed the Council, may ask staff to review the matter, or may ask that the matter be placed on a future agenda. 8. Adoption of Resolution 2018-0541, authorizing the Town to enter into Town of Sahuarita Contract No. 180046, an Intergovernmental Agreement with Pima County, to provide video court hearings for Town of Sahuarita municipal prisoners, extending the contract for one year, commencing July 1, 2018 and terminating June 30, 2019. C. Adoption of Resolution No. 2018-0544, authorizing the Town to enter into Town of Sahuarita Contract No. 180054, an Intergovernmental Agreement with the Sahuarita Unified School District No. 30, to coordinate Sahuarita's Youth Art Program, for the purpose of incorporating youth art in Town development projects, commencing April 23, 2018 and terminating August 15, 2018; in an amount not to exceed $50,000. D. Adoption of Resolution No. 2018-0545, authorizing the Town to enter into Amendment No. Three (3) to Sahuarita Contract No. CO08-0041, an Intergovernmental Agreement with Pima County, for formation of a Regional S.W.A.T. Team, as amended, for the purpose of amending the existing agreement to extend the term of the Intergovernmental Agreement for one (1) five-year term, at no additional cost to the Town beyond the original $150,000 amount of the initial Intergovernmental Agreement. E. Adoption of Resolution No. 2018-0547, entering into Sahuarita Contract No. 180056, a Memorandum of Understanding between the Town of Sahuarita and the Fraternal Order of Police Pima Lodge 20, Inc., commencing July 1, 2018 and terminating June 30, 2020. F. Approval of Amendment No. Three (3) to Contract No. 160040, between the Town of Sahuarita and Aarrowhead Security, DBA Vet-Sec Protection Agency, extending the contract for one year, commencing July 1, 2018 and terminating June 30, 2019; in an amount not to exceed $68,000. G. Approval of Amendments No. Two (2) to Contract Nos. 170006, Gordley Design Group, Inc., dba Gordley Group; 170007, Kaneen Communications, Inc.; and 170008, Strongpoint, L.L.C. for public relations services, extending the contracts for one year, commencing July 1, 2018 and terminating June 30, 2019; in a cumulative amount not to exceed $60,000. H. Approval to purchase three (3) truckloads of polyflex type 3 crack sealant material from Crafco Inc., using Arizona State Contract No. ADSPO13-035060; in an amount not to exceed $57,413.20. I. Recommendation to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control regarding a special event liquor license application submitted by the Sahuarita Elks Lodge 2851 for May 12, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., at Sahuarita Town Center, 375 W. Sahuarita Center Way, Sahuarita, Arizona. 9. Public hearing, discussion and possible adoption of Ordinance No. 2018-132, adopting text amendment to Section 18.25 of Title 18 of the Sahuarita Town Code (Zoning) relating to R-3 Single Residence Zone, and repealing all Resolutions, Ordinances, and Rules of the Town of Sahuarita in conflict therewith. Discussion and possible adoption of Resolution No. 2018-0546, authorizing the Town to enter into Amendment One (1) and Renewal of Town of Sahuarita Contract No. 180035, an Intergovernmental Agreement with the Sahuarita Unified School District No. 30, for the purpose of providing Law Enforcement Education, Training, and Investigative Functions by assigning a School Resource Officer to Walden Grove High School under the School Safety Program, which shall be funded utilizing excess School Safety Grant Monies awarded to the Sahuarita Unified School District No. 30 through the State of Arizona Department of Education.
