Town Council Meeting Agenda Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.02 notice is hereby given to the public that the Sahuarita Town Council will hold a meeting at the date and time specified below at the Sahuarita Council Chambers, 375 West Sahuarita Center Way, Sahuarita, AZ. Members of the Town of Sahuarita Council will attend either in person or by telephone conference call. To better serve our community, the Sahuarita Council Chambers is wheelchair accessible. Persons with a disability may request a reasonable accommodation, such as a sign language interpreter, by contacting the Town Clerk’s Office at 520-822-8801. Arizona Open Meeting Law Training Please note the meeting will begin in the Executive Conference room, 375 West Sahuarita Center Way, 2nd floor. The public is welcome to attend. 2. Call to Order 3. Invocation The Invocation will be given by Pastor John Leonard from Cornerstone Baptist Church. Our invocations are provided by volunteers, and presenters will be accepted and welcomed regardless of religious affiliation. Interested parties may contact the Town Clerk. 4. Pledge of Allegiance The Pledge of Allegiance will be led by Danissa Morando, a ninth grade student at Cholla High School. 5. Roll Call 6. Presentations A. Recognition of the Walden Grove High School Performing Arts Crew. B. Recognition of the Youth Art Program participants. C. Proclamation declaring the week of October 21-27, 2018 as Arizona Cities & Towns Week. 7. Approval of Agenda Action recommended: approve the agenda. 8. Call to the Public At this time, any member of the public is invited to address the Town Council on any issue which is on tonight’s Consent Agenda or on any issue which the Town Council can lawfully act upon at a future meeting. Consent Agenda Action recommended: approve the consent agenda recommendations. A. Approval of the October 8, 2018 Regular and Study Session Meeting Minutes. B. Adoption of Resolution No. 2018-0568, authorizing the Town to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement, Sahuarita Contract No. 190014, to accept a grant in the amount of $5,000 from the State of Arizona, Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, for federal funds to support DUI/Impaired enforcement in the Town of Sahuarita by the Sahuarita Police Department in effect from October 1, 2018, through September 30, 2019. C. Adoption of Resolution No. 2018-0569, authorizing the Town to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement, Sahuarita Contract No. 190015, to accept a grant in the amount of $5000 from the State of Arizona, Governor’s Office of Highway Safety for federal funds in support of the Support Selective Traffic Enforcement Program in the Town of Sahuarita by the Sahuarita Police Department in effect from October 1, 2018, through September 30, 2019. D. Approval of Contract No. 190010 with West Coast Netting, Inc. for the design, provision and installation of Soccer Field Barrier Netting at Quail Creek-Veterans Municipal Park, in an amount not to exceed $84,212. 10. Discussion and possible appointments to the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System (PSPRS) Board, Board of Adjustment, Parks and Recreation Commission and Planning and Zoning Commission. Action recommended: pleasure of the Council. 11. Discussion and possible adoption of Resolution No. 2018-0567, authorizing the Town of Sahuarita to participate in the CENSUS 2020 Complete Count Committee and to encourage every person to be counted. Action recommended: adopt the resolution. 12. Council and Town Manager Reports and Requests STUDY SESSION 13. Presentation and discussion of the Town of Sahuarita's Water availability. 14. Adjournment Action may be taken by the Town Council on any item listed on this agenda. The Town Council may vote to go into executive session pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.03 (A) (3) for discussion or consultation for legal advice with the Town Attorney concerning any matter listed on this agenda.
