Town Council Meeting Agenda Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.02 notice is hereby given to the public that the Sahuarita Town Council will hold a meeting at the date and time specified below at the Sahuarita Council Chambers, 375 West Sahuarita Center Way, Sahuarita, AZ. Members of the Town of Sahuarita Council will attend either in person or by telephone conference call. To better serve our community, the Sahuarita Council Chambers is wheelchair accessible. Persons with a disability may request a reasonable accommodation, such as a sign language interpreter, by contacting the Town Clerk’s Office at 520-822-8801. Invocation A moment of silence will be observed. 3. Pledge of Allegiance The Pledge of Allegiance will be led by the Mayor, Council and audience in attendance. 4. Roll Call 5. Approval of Agenda Action recommended: approve the agenda as published. 6. Call to the Public At this time, any member of the public is invited to address the Town Council on any issue which is on tonight’s Consent Agenda or on any issue which the Town Council can lawfully act upon at a future meeting. Written comments regarding any item on the agenda or on any issue which the Town Council can lawfully act upon may be submitted prior to the beginning of the council meeting for distribution to the Town Council. Pursuant to the Arizona Open Meeting Laws, the Council may not discuss the items, but individual members of the Council may respond to criticism made by those who have addressed the Council, may ask staff to review the matter, or may ask that the matter be placed on a future agenda. 7. Discussion regarding filling the Council Member vacancies caused by the resignations of Lynne Skelton and Dalia Zimmerman, and interviews of Council Member candidates: Sergio Arellano, Kathleen Camp, Erik Dahl, Simon Davis, Myra McCune and (Marty) Mary Teresa Moreno. EXECUTIVE SESSION 10. Executive Session pursuant to A.R.S. 38-431.03(A)(1) for discussion of the employment and appointment of Town Council Members, and to discuss the candidates interviewed tonight to fill the two current Council Member vacancies. CONTINUATION OF REGULAR MEETING 11. Discussion and possible action appointing two Town Council Members, to fill the vacancies caused by the resignations of Lynne Skelton and Dalia Zimmerman, who will serve until the council meeting at which the canvass of the 2020 general election is approved, or if all council members were elected at the 2020 primary election, then at the first council meeting following the date of the 2020 general election. Action recommended: pleasure of the Council. 12. Adjournment Action may be taken by the Town Council on any item listed on this agenda. The Town Council may vote to go into executive session pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.03 (A) (3) for discussion or consultation for legal advice with the Town Attorney concerning any matter listed on this agenda.
