Oldtown Salinas Parking and Business Improvement Area Assessment District
Report for Fiscal Year 2014/2015; that sets forth the budget for Fiscal Year 2015/16
and describes the proposed use of funds for the upcoming year, which shall
constitute the levy of an assessment for that fiscal year. The motion carried by
the following vote:

Received report on the 2015 Fourth of July fireworks activities and consider an

the sale of "safe and sane" fireworks. It is further recommended the Mayor
establish a committee to develop a Fourth of July Citywide Celebration proposal
for Council consideration at a later date.

Upon motion by Councilmember Craig, second by Councilmember McShane, the
City Council adopted Resolution 20811 approving the issuance of an Airport Use
Permit to the Monterey County Airshow Association Incorporated, to conduct the
35th annual California International Airshow at the Salinas Municipal Airport; and
transfer $23,000 from the Airport Enterprise Fund to the General Fund to
reimburse the City for police and fire services for the Airshow. The motion
carried by the following vote:

Utility Vehicles at $159,022.40 from Salinas Valley Ford in Salinas, California, at a
total cost of $301,387.35.. The motion carried by the following vote:

Recommendation: Consider oral and written testimony regarding the formation of the Downtown Salinas
Community Benefit District, and tabulate all Assessment ballots returned to the City
pursuant to the procedures set forth Resolution 577, approved May 26, 2015, (the
"Resolution of Intent" or "ROI"), and if the ballot tabulation results in weighted majority
support to form the District, authorize the Mayor to execute a Resolution of Formation
that establishes Downtown Salinas Community Benefit District.
