COUNCILMEMBERS’ REPORTS, APPOINTMENTS AND FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
Councilmember Barrera requested staff consider a senior center and teen lounge.
Councilmember Craig reported that the Transportation Agency for Monterey County
(TAMC) is moving forward with the capital corridor and TAMC will be the primary source of
funding. Councilmember Craig reported she has received numerous calls for Code
Enforcement and requested increased enforcement in District 5.
Councilmember De La Rosa requested consideration of a Senior Center at the Hebbron
Family Center.
Councilmember Lutes reported the Salinas Valley Solid Waste Authority (SVSWA) study
will be presented to the Council for consideration. She reported that the State and
Federal Legislative Committee met and announced they are diligently with the State
agencies to advocate for funding for the Capital Corridor.
Councilmember McShane requested the city draft a letter to the top ten agriculture
employers offering City support for investment in the Community. Request was second by
Councilmember De La Rosa. Councilmember McShane requested additional information
on the proposed TAMC transportation tax.
CLOSED SESSION
Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957.1, there was no reportable action on the
