He added that he will be hosting an electric vehicle test drive on October 24, 2016 in collaboration with the Association of Monterey Bay Area Governments (AMBAG) and the Transportation Agency for Monterey County. He requested the City support the railroad museum ADA improvements through the mid-year or annual budget process. Councilmember McShane reported Councilmember Lutes will attend the AMBAG meeting as the alternate appointee as he will not be able to attend. He further requested staff continue to address alcohol policies and zoning as it relates to craft beers and wine distilleries in the City. He requested a future presentation from the Monterey County Association of Realtors. Request was second by Councilmember Castaneda. In closing, he requested consideration be given to the Seniors when addressing the Old Municipal Pool improvements and facility lease. Councilmember Castaneda appointed Wes White and Tony Castillo to the Police Community Advisory Committee. Councilmember Castaneda requested a City Council meeting in the Alisal area with a focus on violence and homelessness. Councilmember Castaneda requested a report on the Municipal Pool and the establishment of a Senior Citizen Commission. Councilmember Lutes reported that she will be attending a fair/fundraiser in the Santa Rita area and expressed concerns regarding lighting issues on Canterburry Street. Councilmember Lutes reported she and Sergeant Heath Johnsen attended the Citizen Oversight of Law Enforcement conference in New Mexico and will share their recommendations to the Subcommittee on Commissions, Boards, Committees to consider changes in the makeup of the Police Community Advisory Committee. Councilmember De La Rosa reported she had a successful clean-up in Acosta Plaza. She reported that there will be a city-wide cleanup on October 22, 2016, Make a Difference Day. Councilmember Barrera reported that there are a number of activities at the recreation centers for youth in the community and encouraged families to participate. He commended staff for the collaborative efforts between the City and County towards opening the warming shelter. Mayor Gunter announced that there will be a city-wide cleanup on October 22, 2016. He reported he will bring forward a report on the appointment of the Mayor Pro Tem on November 15, 2016 and requested the City Attorney consider a future charter amendment to change the Mayoral term to four-year term as opposed to a two-year term.
