Public comments generally are limited to two minutes per speaker; the Mayor may
further limit the time for public comments depending on the agenda schedule.
GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENTS
Receive public communications from the audience on items that are not on the agenda
and that are in the City of Salinas’ subject matter jurisdiction. Comments on Consent,
Consideration, and Closed session items should be held until the items are reached.
The public may request that the legislative body consider adding an item for
consideration on a future agenda. The public may comment on scheduled agenda
items, including closed session items, as they are considered. In order to be respectful
of all speakers’ views and to avoid disruption of the meeting, the audience shall refrain
from applauding or jeering speakers who have been recognized by the Mayor.
CONSIDERATION
ID#17-003 Election of Mayor Pro Tempore (Salinas Charter Section 5.2)
Recommendation: Approve a Resolution identifying the Mayor Pro Tempore who shall perform the duties
of the Mayor during any temporary absence or disability of the Mayor.
ID#17-045 City Code Update-Part 1
Recommendation: Adopt Ordinances amending parts of the Salinas City Code and approve a Resolution
establishing the bond amounts for the City Clerk and the City Treasurer (Finance
Director).
ID#17-016 Public Arts Ordinance
Recommendation: Adopt Ordinance establishing a public art program.
ID#17-078 Commissions, Committees, and Boards Powers and Duties and Uniform
Bylaws
Recommendation: Adopt an Ordinance related to the powers and duties of its Commissions, Committees,
and Boards; and approve a Resolution establishing a uniform set of bylaws for the
Commissions, Committees, and Boards.

Maintenance
Recommendation: Approve a Resolution rejecting bid protests and awarding contracts to Staples
Construction Co. Inc., Newton Construction & Management Inc., and Ausonio Inc., for
the Job Order Contracting For Miscellaneous Type B Building/Building Maintenance
Work.

Recommendation: Approve Resolution approving the ITC MOU in support of the completion of the Kick
Start Project.

Recommendation: Approve a Resolution accepting the Draft Salinas Neighborhood Vibrancy-Urban
Greening Plan.
ID#17-056 20-Minute Green Zone Request at 1222 Del Monte Avenue
Recommendation: Approve a Resolution approving three (3) 20-Minute Green Zone designations for the
business located at 1222 Del Monte Avenue.
ID#17-057 20-Minute Green Zone Request at 607 East Market Street
Recommendation: Approve a Resolution approving two (2) 20-Minute Green Zone designations for the
business located at 607 East Market Street.
ID#17-051 Resolution Regarding Comprehensive Immigration Reform
Recommendation: Consider a Resolution affirming the City's position in support of comprehensive
immigration reform.
