Reading of Public Comments: The City Clerk shall read all email comments, provided
that the reading shall not exceed two (2) minutes and shall become part of the record.
Every effort will be made to read your comment into the record, but some comments may
not be read due to time limitations.

Public comments generally are limited to two minutes per speaker; the Mayor may further

GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENTS
Receive public communications on items that are not on the agenda and that are in the
City of Salinas’ subject matter jurisdiction. Comments on Consent, Consideration, and
Closed session items should be held until the items are reached. The public may
request that the legislative body consider adding an item for consideration on a future
agenda. The public may comment on scheduled agenda items, including closed session
items, as they are considered.

ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS
ID#21-078 Commercial Cannabis Industry in Salinas
Recommendation: No action required. This report presents information to the City Council regarding the
commercial cannabis industry.
CONSIDERATION
ID#21-090 Monterey County and United Way Rent and Utility Assistance Relief
Program
Recommendation: Approve a Resolution to authorize the City Manager or designee to submit an application
in the amount of $10 million dollars for the Monterey County and United Way Rent and
Utility Assistance Relief Program and accept award and execute any required grant
agreements.

member of the Council or the public requests discussion or a separate vote.
ID#21-095 Minutes
Recommendation: Approve minutes of February 2, 2021, February 9, 2021 and February 16, 2021.
ID#21-081 Financial Claims
Recommendation: Approve financial claims report.
ID#21-068 Purchase one 2021 Toyota Tacoma Truck
Recommendation: Approve a Resolution authorizing the direct purchase of one 2021 Toyota Tacoma from
Salinas Toyota at a total cost of $31,823.22.
ID#21-076 Street Pavement Maintenance Repairs
Recommendation: Approve a Resolution to authorize a $500,000 increase to the existing purchase amount
for roadway pavement materials for the City Street Maintenance Division for Fiscal Year
2020-21.
ID#21-077 Purchase one 2022 Peterbilt 348 Dump Truck
Recommendation: Approve a Resolution authorizing the direct purchase of one 2022 Peterbilt 348 from
Coast Counties Peterbilt at a total cost of $158,772.50.
ID#21-087 Modification to Classification-Salary Schedule and Workforce Allocation
Adjustment
Recommendation: Approve a Resolution modifying the City of Salinas Classification-Salary Schedule as of
March 2, 2021 in accordance with the California Code of Regulations, (CCR), Title 2,
Section 570.5. In addition, staff recommends an adjustment of the budgeted workforce
allocation for the Fleet Division of the Public Works Department.
