Chairman McCandless reported on upcoming scheduling items. The Council discussed Salt Lake County appropriations for the Hale Center Theater project. Information Items 1. 17-225 The City Council will receive briefings on the following items: 1. Dave Fields from Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort and Connie Marshall from Alta Ski Area will discuss economic impact. 2. Assistant Chief Administrative Officer Korban Lee and Parks and Recreation Director Scott Earl will brief the Council on Run Elevated, Adventure Week, Sandy sport events, and the Fourth of July event. 3. Public Utilities Director Tom Ward will discuss the Sandy City Watershed. 4. Finance Director Brian Kelley will provide information on Salt Lake County appropriations. Dave Fields and Connie Marshall gave a presentation about the entitled "Little Cottonwood Canyon Economic Impact". Council discussion followed. Korban Lee and Scott Earl reported on "Summer 2017 Special Events". Tom Ward spoke to the Council about the Little Cottonwood Canyon watershed. Brian Kelley spoke about the upcoming budget opening for the Salt Lake County appropriations on August 29, 2017.
