Council Member Robinson led the Pledge of Allegiance. Non-voting Items Agenda Planning Calendar Review & Council Office Director's Report Mike Applegarth noted that the budget review schedule would be coming via the agenda planning calendar. Council Member Stroud thanked the Police Department for their educational video. Council Member Zoltanski thanked all of the residents and participants of the first Virtual Town Hall meeting last week. She asked about the reopening of restroom facilities in both County and City parks. Mayor's Report Mayor Bradburn provided an operational update on COVID-19 response. The soft opening of City buildings occurred yesterday. Communication has happened to residents through the City website and City social media channels. Most services will occur over the next two weeks by appointment only. CAO Report CAO Matt Huish noted that next week the new City website will go live (May 16). He also noted that stringent cleaning guidelines make it difficult to reopen parks restroom, but the Parks Department is working to reopen them in a methodical way. Voting Items Consent Calendar Approval of the Consent Calendar A motion was made by Brooke Christensen, seconded by Zach Robinson, to approve the Consent Calendar. There were no citizen comments. Public Hearing(s) 3. 20-140 Administrative Services Department presenting the FY 2020-21 Tentative Budget and recommending approval of Resolution 20-14C adopting tentative budgets for Sandy City and the Alta Canyon Recreation District for FY 2020-21, scheduling a public hearing for final approval, and providing for public access to the tentative budgets and schedules. Attachments: Public Hearing Notice Presentation on the Tentative Budget 2021 FY2021TentativeBudget Resolutin 20-14C Tentative Budget 2021 Meeting went into Recess until 6:00 PM Meeting Reconvened at 6 PM The Chair opened the public hearing on the budget to public comment. Cathy Spuck requested a review of last year's budget and how those funds were spent. Administrative Services Director Brian Kelley gave a presentation on the FY 2020-21 Tentative Budget. Council questions were interspersed throughout the presentation. Discussion continued at the conclusion of the presentation. A motion was made by Cyndi Sharkey, seconded by Monica Zoltanski, to adopt Resolution 20-14C... The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 7- Alison Stroud Kristin Coleman-Nicholl Zach Robinson Monica Zoltanski Marci Houseman Cyndi Sharkey Brooke Christensen Adjournment Adjournment was unanimous at 7:48 PM.
