PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES 10/18/2016 MEMBERS PRESENT: Scott Fischer, Dave Maglio OTHERS PRESENT: Ray deBruijn, Dawn Wagner, Mark Jaeger CALL TO ORDER: Dave Maglio at 6:45 pm. MEETING NOTICED PER STATE STATUTE Ord.#771 – Amending 187-21.A and B(1) – Brush and Branch Chipping There was discussion about the wording changed to reflect that it is a maintenance only service provided to the residents. The Village attorney has reviewed the revisions and approved them. A list of chipping policies from neighboring communities was presented to give a perspective of the Village’s service. The Village is in line with other communities. Recommended to the November Board Meeting. Dave Maglio/ Scott Fischer made a motion to recommend to the Village Board approval of Ord. 771 – Amending 187-21.A and B(1) – Brush and Branch Chipping. Motion carried. Other Matters: Street projects moving along well. There was a 60% design meeting with residents. The meeting went well and was well attended. The old back/hoe loader was sold online for $18,500.00. The new one is working very well. Tree removals are moving along with many being done. This is a project that will be a work in progress as there are many to do. We have spoken to several companies about replacing the walk bridge at the end of Dries St. We are getting pricing and estimates for delivery and construction.
