VILLAGE OF SAUKVILLE PUBLIC WORKS MEETING MINUTES 1/16/2018 SAUKVILLE MUNICIPAL CENTER 639 E. GREEN BAY AVE, SAUKVILLE, WI 53080 Meeting called to order by Chair Caban at 6:32 p.m. Committee present: Joe Caban (Chairman), Scott Fischer Staff: Dawn Wagner, Raymond deBruijn Others: Dave Boehler-Ozaukee Press and Jim Nowlen Meeting noticed per State Statute. 2018-19 ROAD CONSTRUCTION PROJECT deBruijn provided an update on the 2018 and 2019 road maintenance/construction projects. The 2018 maintenance work will be slurry sealing of Hillcrest Rd. (STH 33 to just west of Mayfair Drive). There will also be crack filling and manhole infrared patching at various locations. The intersection at Park St. /STH 33, on the northside, will be rebuilt from a driveway approach to a regular street opening with ADA ramps at the sidewalks. The 2019 road reconstruction project will involve Tower, Bucktrout and Church Street.  Tower - (STH33 to Bucktrout St.) and Bucktrout - (Tower St. to Colonial Pkwy) will be a grind and overlay with some minor concrete work.  Church - (railroad tracks west to Tower St.) will involve installing 2 storm catch basins with a new storm line running west to Tower Street. Then that section of road will be slurry sealed. This project qualifies for the state LRIP Program. The paperwork has already been submitted through the County. The Village will be receiving $22,000. OTHER MATTERS: Replacement tractor bids will be provided for the February Finance meeting. The recent plowing events went well. We had a full staff and the snow was light. There were no equipment breakdowns. The foot bridge has been constructed by Anderson Bridges and waiting to be shipped. There is one minor point of construction that needs to be discussed with the manufacturer. The abutments will be precast and built by County Materials. The installation will be in spring when the frost is gone. The Grady Park pavilion replacement project is moving forward. The old pavilion has been removed. The new pavilion will be delivered the week of 1/22/2018. Construction to follow. The concession building will also be rehabbed in spring to match the look of the new pavilion.
