May 16, 2016 ***VILLAGE BOARD MINUTES*** May 16, 2016 SAUKVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT 649 E GREEN BAY AVE SAUKVILLE, WISCONSIN Village President Barb Dickmann called the meeting to order at 8:22 p.m. Village Clerk, Mary Kay Baumann gave the Statement of Public Notice. Members: Barb Dickmann-present, Dan Sauer-present, David Maglio-present, Mike Krocka-present, Michael Gielow-present, Joe Caban-present, and Scott Fischer-present. Others Present: Dawn Wagner, Mary Kay Baumann, Vicki Lee, and Mark Jaeger. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE CITIZEN COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS No comments. APPROVE MINUTES OF MAY 3, 2016 MEETING Maglio/Krocka made a motion to approve the May 3, 2016 minutes as presented. Motion carried. COMMUNICATIONS REPORT FROM THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT Dickmann shared a thank you from Glenn Grothman for the Employees that received their Years of Services Awards. REPORT FROM THE VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR No report. ORDINANCES – RESOLUTIONS – PETITIONS Ord. #765 – Amending §72-1, §94-2, §94-3.A and §147-2 Adoption of State Standard by Reference; Enforcement Maglio/Krocka made a motion to waive the first reading of Ord. #765 – Amending §72-1, §94-2, §94-3.A and §147-2 Adoption of State Standard by Reference; Enforcement. Motion carried. Krocka/Maglio made a motion to waive the reading of Ord. #765 – Amending §72-1, §94-2, §94-3.A and §147-2 Adoption of State Standard by Reference; Enforcement. Motion carried. Krocka/Sauer made a motion to approve Ord. #765 – Amending §72-1, §94-2, §94-3.A and §147-2 Adoption of State Standard by Reference; Enforcement as presented. Motion carried. REPORTS OF VILLAGE BOARD COMMITTEES Utility Committee No report. Public Works Committee No report. Public Safety Committee No report. Finance Committee Dickmann reported on the meeting May 16, 2016. May 16, 2016 Dickmann reported that the first part of the meeting was the continued discussion regarding the Village’s Financial Planning. Claims for April in the amount of $340,412.38 were reviewed and approved. The Budget Watch and Investment Report were reviewed. Ord. #765 was reviewed and recommended for approval. Other Matters: The Sworn Testimony Policy for Board of Review was distributed. The Mid-Moraine Dinner is Wednesday, May 25th. Contact Mary Kay if you are interested in attending. REPORTS OF SPECIAL COMMITTEES Plan Commission Dickmann stated that the minutes for the May 5, 2016 meeting were in the packet for review. Community Development Authority/Industrial Review Committee Dickmann stated that the minutes for the May 12, 2016 meeting were in the packet for review. Dickmann stated that a 98,732 SF building was approved for Calibre, Inc. in the Business Park. Library Board Caban reported on the meeting of May 10, 2016. Caban reported that the officers for 2016-2017 will remain the same. Caban reported that the Friends of the Saukville Library donated $1,000 for the Summer Reading Program, $150 for the Adult Lunch, and $600 seed money to republish The Whistle Stop Poems. Mid-Moraine Municipal Association Fischer reported that the speaker scheduled for the May 11 th meeting did not show; so the September meeting will have the same agenda – Hotel Room Tax and Municipal Home Inspections.
