March 7, 2017 ***VILLAGE BOARD MINUTES*** March 7, 2017 SAUKVILLE MUNICIPAL CENTER 639 E Green Bay Ave SAUKVILLE, WISCONSIN Village President, Barb Dickmann, called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. Village Clerk, Mary Kay Baumann, gave the Statement of Public Notice. Members: Barb Dickmann-present (via phone), Dan Sauer-present, David Maglio-present, Mike Krocka- absent, Michael Gielow-present, Joe Caban-present, and Scott Fischer-present Others Present: Dawn Wagner, Mary Kay Baumann, Chief Goetz, Ray deBruijn, and Mark Jaeger-Ozaukee Press. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE CITIZEN COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS None. APPROVE MINUTES OF FEBRUARY 7, 2017 MEETING Maglio/Sauer made a motion to approve the February 7, 2017 minutes as presented. Motion carried. COMMUNICATIONS REPORT FROM THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT Dickmann thanked the Board for being accommodating and allowing her to do the meeting by phone. REPORT FROM THE VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR None. ORDINANCES – RESOLUTIONS – PETITIONS None. REPORTS OF VILLAGE BOARD COMMITTEES Utility Committee Sauer reported on the meeting of March 7, 2017. Sauer stated that the complaint regarding water/sewer charges for the resident at 406 Forest Ridge Court were reviewed. Sauer reported that there was no adjustment given. Construction of the pump house at Well #6 will begin soon. Charter has agreed to pay the cost of installing an additional 12” water main valve into their property. There were two water main breaks within 2 blocks of each other at the end of February. Sauer stated that the Wastewater Department has been dealing with a lot of equipment repairs. Discussion was held regarding phosphorus credit trading. Public Works Committee No report.  March 7, 2017 Public Safety Committee No report. Finance Committee Dickmann reported on the meeting of March 7, 2017. A recommendation was made to the Village Board to approve the Ford 4 x 4 (Diesel) from Ewald for a NTE amount of $49,705.00. Sauer/Caban made a motion to approve the Ford 4 x 4 (Diesel) from Ewald for a NTE amount of $49,705.00. Motion carried. Discussion was held and a motion was made approving the DPW tractor replacement as presented. Other Matters: A pre-construction meeting for the Church/Center Street Project will be held Monday, March 13th at 10:00 a.m. The storm lateral permit fee for residents in the project area will be waived. The next Finance/Village Board meetings will be held Tuesday, April 4th. There will be no meetings held on Tuesday, March 21st. These meetings will include the 2016 Audit presentation. The Utility Committee will meet right before Finance. The 2016 Audit will be presented at that time. Ozaukee Economic Development will hold its annual outreach event on Wednesday, April 5, 2017. REPORTS OF SPECIAL COMMITTEES Plan Commission Dickmann reported on the meeting of March 7, 2017 Minutes from the February 7, 2017 meeting were reviewed and approved. A request for new signage at U-Haul Co. was reviewed and approved. Community Development Authority/Industrial Review Committee No report. Library Board The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 14, 2017. Mid-Moraine Municipal Association The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 8, 2017. OPERATOR’S LICENSE APPROVALS Sauer/Gielow made a motion to approve the Operator’s License Application for Minor for Kwik Trip. Motion carried. LIQUOR LICENSE APPROVALS None.  March 7, 2017 CITIZEN MATTERS AS NOTICED None. ADJOURNMENT Krocka/Sauer made a motion to adjourn to Tuesday, April 4, 2017.
