April 4, 2017 ***VILLAGE BOARD MINUTES*** April 4, 2017 SAUKVILLE MUNICIPAL CENTER 639 E Green Bay Ave SAUKVILLE, WISCONSIN Village President, Barb Dickmann, called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. Village Clerk, Dawn Wagner, gave the Statement of Public Notice. Members: Barb Dickmann-present, Dan Sauer-present, David Maglio-present, Mike Krocka-present, Michael Gielow-present, Joe Caban-present, and Scott Fischer-present Others Present: Dawn Wagner, Lt Meyer, Ray deBruijn, Vicki Lee, and Mark Jaeger-Ozaukee Press. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE CITIZEN COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS None. APPROVE MINUTES OF MARCH 7, 2017 MEETING Sauer/Krocka made a motion to approve the March 7, 2017 minutes as presented. Motion carried. COMMUNICATIONS REPORT FROM THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT Dickmann thanked the Board for being accommodating and helping her enjoy her vacation. REPORT FROM THE VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR None. ORDINANCES – RESOLUTIONS – PETITIONS None. REPORTS OF VILLAGE BOARD COMMITTEES Utility Committee Sauer reported on the meeting of April 4, 2017. The 2016 Water/Wastewater Audit Presentation was done by Dave Maccoux, Schenck, SC, the Village Auditors, and everything is running smoothly and well. The road construction project is being held up by a water permit from the DNR. Well #6 is held up by weather conditions. The truck and equipment on the auction site did very well. Public Works Committee No report. Public Safety Committee No report. Finance Committee Dickmann reported on the meeting of April 4, 2017. April 4, 2017 Claims for February in the amount of $276,525.34 were approved. The Budget Watch and Investment Report were reviewed. The 2016 Audit Presentation was given by Dave Maccoux, Schenck, SC. The Village is in excellent position. The 2017 Tourism Budget and Tourism Promotion Plan was presented by Chris King, Saukville Chamber. Sauer/Caban moved to approve the 2017 Tourism Budget & Tourism Promotion as presented by the Saukville Chamber. Motion carried. OTHER MATTERS Framing Saukville was held last week at Studio 224. The Oscar Grady Library did a phenomenal job. The Oscar Grady Library website has over 5,000 pictures from the Jim Peterson Collection. The Ozaukee Economic Development annual outreach event is Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Shully’s in Mequon. deBruijn mentioned that the damaged tile at Village Hall will be replaced with identical tile soon. REPORTS OF SPECIAL COMMITTEES Plan Commission The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 6, 2017. Community Development Authority/Industrial Review Committee No report. Library Board Caban reported on the meeting of March 14, 2017. “Framing Saukville” was a great success. The Friends Book Sale will be held April 15-20, 2017. Mid-Moraine Municipal Association Fischer reported on the meeting of March 8, 2017. Senator Duey Stroebel talked about the transportation audit. The next meeting will be April 12,, 2017. OPERATOR’S LICENSE APPROVALS Krocka/Sauer made a motion to approve the Operator’s License Application for Brock & Stadler for Railroad Station and Densow for Beck’s Exxon. Motion carried. LIQUOR LICENSE APPROVALS None. CITIZEN MATTERS AS NOTICED None. ADJOURNMENT Krocka/Sauer made a motion to adjourn at 8:05 p.m. Motion carried.
