Village President, Barb Dickmann, called the meeting to order at 8:02 p.m.
Village Clerk, Mary Kay Baumann, gave the Statement of Public Notice.
Members: Barb Dickmann-present, Dan Sauer-present, David Maglio-present, Mike Krocka-present,
Michael Gielow-present, Joe Caban-present, and Scott Fischer-present
Others Present: Dawn Wagner, Chief Goetz, Lt Meyer, Chief Schultz, Ray deBruijn, Vicki Lee, Jen
Gerber, and Jim Peterson.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
CITIZEN COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS
None.
CEREMONIAL OATH OF OFFICE – VILLAGE PRESIDENT
Baumann administered the Ceremonial Oath of Office to re-elected Village President Barbara Dickmann
CEREMONIAL OATH OF OFFICE – TRUSTEES
Baumann administered the Ceremonial Oath of Office to re-elected Village Trustees Michael Krocka,
Joseph Caban, and David Maglio.
TRUSTEE APPOINTMENTS
Dickmann requested a motion to approve the Trustee appointments and change of meeting dates.
Sauer/Maglio made a motion to approve the Trustee appointments and change of meeting dates as
presented. Motion carried.
COMMITTEE APPOINTMENTS
Dickmann requested a motion to approve the following Committee appointments (full list attached):
• Architectural Review Board – Michael Gielow-Chairperson
• Board of Review – Barb Dickmann-Chairperson
• Cemetery Commission – Joseph Caban-Chairperson
• Community Development Authority/Industrial Review Committee – Barb Dickmann-Chairperson
• Finance Committee – Barb Dickmann-Chairperson
Krocka/Fischer made a motion to approve the Committee appointments as listed above. Motion carried.
• Library Board – Joseph Caban-Board Representative
• Mid-Moraine Legislative Committee – Scott Fischer-Representative
• Plan Commission – Barb Dickmann-Chairperson
• Public Safety Committee – David Maglio-Chairperson
• Public Works Committee – Joseph Caban-Chairperson
Krocka/Maglio made a motion to approve the Committee appointments as listed above. Motion carried.

Maglio/Fischer made a motion to approve the Committee appointments as listed above. Motion carried.
APPROVE MINUTES OF APRIL 4, 2017 MEETING
Sauer/Krocka made a motion to approve the April 4, 2017 minutes as presented. Motion carried.
COMMUNICATIONS
REPORT FROM THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT
Dickmann read and presented a commendation to Jim Peterson for his 25 years of dedicated service to the
Village of Saukville as a member of the Cemetery Commission.
REPORT FROM THE VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR
None.
ORDINANCES – RESOLUTIONS – PETITIONS
None.
REPORTS OF VILLAGE BOARD COMMITTEES
Utility Committee
No report.
Public Works Committee
Caban reported on the meeting of April 18, 2017.
Discussion was held and a recommendation was made to the Finance Committee regarding the purchase of
3 tractors.
The removal and replacement of Village Street trees was discussed.
Staff gave an update on the 2017 Streets Project.
Public Safety Committee
Krocka reported on the meeting of April 13, 2017.
Minutes from the January 7, 2017 meeting were reviewed and approved.
The Police Department has narrowed the list of officer candidates to 2. Interviews will be held next
week.
Options are being evaluated regarding the Emergency Management Director position.
Staff met with American Signal regarding the new severe warning siren system.
The Ozaukee County Emergency Manager is currently monitoring the Milwaukee River flood gauge.
April 17th – 21st is Tornado Awareness Week. Sirens will be tested on Thursday, April 20th.
Finance Committee
Dickmann reported on the meeting of April 18, 2017.
Claims for March in the amount of $193,735.89 were approved.
The Budget Watch and Investment Report were reviewed.
April 18, 2017
A recommendation was made to the Village Board to approve the purchase of 3 tractors for a not-to-
exceed amount of $48,937.56 from proceeds of the State Trust Fund Loan.
Caban/Krocka made a motion to approve the replacement of 3 tractors for a not-to-exceed amount of
$48,937.56 from proceeds of the State Trust Fund Loan. Motion carried.
Committee went into Closed Executive Session.
A recommendation was made to the Village Board to approve the Compensation Program and the Signup
Incentive Program for EMS staff.
Maglio/Krocka made a motion to approve the Compensation Program and Signup Incentive Program for
EMS staff. Motion carried.
OTHER MATTERS
None.
REPORTS OF SPECIAL COMMITTEES
Plan Commission
Dickmann reported on the meeting of April 6, 2017.
A sign request for Eric Von Schledorn was reviewed and approved.
Community Development Authority/Industrial Review Committee
Dickmann reported on the meeting of April 18, 2017.
Dickmann was appointed Chairperson and Gielow Vice-Chairperson.
A request for exterior enhancements at M Shiraz was reviewed and approved.
A submittal for a $35M expansion at Charter Steel was reviewed and approved.
Library Board
No report.
Mid-Moraine Municipal Association
Fischer reported on the meeting of April 12, 2017.
A representative from Senator Baldwin’s office attended showing interest in this area of the state.
OPERATOR’S LICENSE APPROVALS
Krocka/Sauer made a motion to approve the Operator’s License Application for Boyer for Walgreens.
Motion carried.
LIQUOR LICENSE APPROVALS
None.
CITIZEN MATTERS AS NOTICED
None.
ADJOURNMENT
Krocka/Sauer made a motion to adjourn at 8:17 p.m. Motion carried.
