May 2, 2017 ***VILLAGE BOARD MINUTES*** May 2, 2017 SAUKVILLE MUNICIPAL CENTER 639 E Green Bay Ave SAUKVILLE, WISCONSIN Village President, Barb Dickmann, called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. Village Clerk, Mary Kay Baumann, gave the Statement of Public Notice. Members: Barb Dickmann-present, Dan Sauer-present, David Maglio-present, Mike Krocka-present, Michael Gielow-present, Joe Caban-present, and Scott Fischer-present Others Present: Dawn Wagner, Mary Kay Baumann, Lt Meyer, Janice Bloemer-American Legion, and John Morton-Ozaukee Press. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE CITIZEN COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS None. APPROVE MINUTES OF APRIL 18, 2017 MEETING Maglio/Krocka made a motion to approve the April 18, 2017 minutes as presented. Motion carried. COMMUNICATIONS REPORT FROM THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT Dickmann read a proclamation recognizing Municipal Clerk’s Week – May 7-13th. Dickmann read a proclamation recognizing Poppy Day – May 12th. REPORT FROM THE VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR None. ORDINANCES – RESOLUTIONS – PETITIONS Res. #1259 – Fee Schedule Krocka/Maglio made a motion to waive the reading of Res. #1259 – Fee Schedule. Motion carried. Maglio/Krocka made a motion to approve Res. #1259 – Fee Schedule as presented. Motion carried. REPORTS OF VILLAGE BOARD COMMITTEES Utility Committee No report. Public Works Committee No report. Public Safety Committee No report. Finance Committee Dickmann reported on the meeting of May 2, 2017. A recommendation was made to the Village Board to approve a Special Use Permit for Eddie’s Service, Inc., 150 N. Riverside Drive.  May 2, 2017 Krocka/Sauer made a motion to approve a Special Use Permit for Eddie’s Service, Inc., 150 N. Riverside Drive. Motion carried. Res. #1259 was reviewed and recommended to the Village Board for approval. OTHER MATTERS Committee meetings for June would be held on Tuesday, June 20th and for July would be on Tuesday, July 11th. The Saukville Chamber will be hosting Movie Night at Marcus on Wednesday, May 10th. Please contact Mary Kay if you are interested in attending. Mid-Moraine will be holding a dinner meeting on Wednesday, May 24th hosted by the Village of Jackson. Please contact Mary Kay if you are interested in attending. The Badger Firefighters honored Officers Neese and Caswell and Ron Gillson. The Annual Emergency Preparedness event will take place at the YMCA on Saturday, May 6th. Construction updates have been going out to affected residents as they are updated. The Utility staff is doing a great job with the project. The new web-site is up and running and continues to evolve. REPORTS OF SPECIAL COMMITTEES Plan Commission Dickmann reported on the meeting of May 2, 2017. Minutes from the April 6, 2017 meeting were reviewed and approved. A request for a Conditional Use Permit for the Feith Family Ozaukee YMCA was reviewed and recommended for approval. A recommendation was made to the Village Board to approve zoning text amendments regarding Conditional Uses – Business Uses, Certificates of Compliance and Occupancy Required; Floodland Requirements, and Existing Non-Conforming Uses. A request for an exterior color change for Wal-Mart was reviewed and approved. A Certificate of Compliance and Business Plan for Lakeshore Regional Child Advocacy Center, 132-134 S. Foster Drive, were reviewed and approved. Community Development Authority/Industrial Review Committee No report. Library Board The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 9, 2017. Mid-Moraine Municipal Association The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 10, 2017. OPERATOR’S LICENSE APPROVALS None.  May 2, 2017 LIQUOR LICENSE APPROVALS None.
