May 16, 2017 ***VILLAGE BOARD MINUTES*** May 16, 2017 SAUKVILLE MUNICIPAL CENTER 639 E Green Bay Ave SAUKVILLE, WISCONSIN Village President, Barb Dickmann, called the meeting to order at 8:05 p.m. Village Clerk, Mary Kay Baumann, gave the Statement of Public Notice. Members: Barb Dickmann-present, Dan Sauer-present, David Maglio-present, Mike Krocka-present, Michael Gielow-present, Joe Caban-present, and Scott Fischer-present Others Present: Dawn Wagner, Mary Kay Baumann, Chief Goetz, Lt Meyer, Officers Janich, Caswell, Ramthun, Depies, Neese, and Kosmosky, Sgt. Ramthun, Laurie Miske, Kim Buechler, Forest Martinez, Peter and Stephanie Martinez, and John Morton-Ozaukee Press. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE CITIZEN COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS None. APPROVE MINUTES OF MAY 2, 2017 MEETING Maglio/Krocka made a motion to approve the May 2, 2017 minutes as presented. Motion carried. COMMUNICATIONS REPORT FROM THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT Dickmann invited Chief Goetz to swear in the new officer to the Saukville Police Force. Forest Martinez was sworn in as the newest officer to the Saukville Police Force. REPORT FROM THE VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR Wagner welcomed Officer Martinez. ORDINANCES – RESOLUTIONS – PETITIONS None. REPORTS OF VILLAGE BOARD COMMITTEES Utility Committee No report. Public Works Committee No report. Public Safety Committee No report. Finance Committee Dickmann reported on the meeting of May 16, 2017. Claims for April in the amount of $155,651.61 were reviewed and approved. The Budget Watch and Investment Report were reviewed. Committee went into Closed Executive Session.  May 16, 2017 OTHER MATTERS The construction project is moving along. Regular updates have been going out. Staff is doing an outstanding job and the on-site inspector is great. The next Plan Commission, Public Safety, Finance Committee, and Village Board meetings will be held on Tuesday, June 20th. Any needed meetings for July will be held on Tuesday July 11th. The Chamber Awards Dinner has been set for Monday, June 12th at Messina’s. Information will be sent out shortly. The Annual Chamber Golf Outing will be held on Friday, August 18th at the Bog. That information will be sent out as well. Village staff will be attending joint community training at the City of Cedarburg on Wednesday, May 24th. The topic is “Gratitude”. The Village President, on behalf of the Plan Commission had sent a letter to Wal-Mart requesting that the color scheme stay the current color of brown. The Village received confirmation that Wal-Mart will be honoring the Village request and will not change the exterior. REPORTS OF SPECIAL COMMITTEES Plan Commission No report. Community Development Authority/Industrial Review Committee No report. Library Board No report. Caban stated that the Friends Book Sale is being held this week. Mid-Moraine Municipal Association Fischer reported on the meeting of May 10, 2017. Fischer stated that Representative Gorman spoke regarding historic tax data. OPERATOR’S LICENSE APPROVALS None. LIQUOR LICENSE APPROVALS Annual Renewals – See attached. CITIZEN MATTERS AS NOTICED None. ADJOURNMENT Krocka/Maglio made a motion to adjourn at 8:15 p.m. Motion carried.
