August 1, 2017 ***VILLAGE BOARD MINUTES*** August 1, 2017 SAUKVILLE MUNICIPAL CENTER 639 E Green Bay Ave SAUKVILLE, WISCONSIN Village President Barb Dickmann called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. Village Clerk Mary Kay Baumann gave the Statement of Public Notice. Members: Barb Dickmann-present, Dan Sauer-present, David Maglio-present, Mike Krocka-present, Michael Gielow-present, Joe Caban-absent, and Scott Fischer-present Others Present: Dawn Wagner, Chief Goetz, Lt. Meyer, Sgt Ramthun, Officers Ramthun, Depies, & Janich, Ray deBruijn, Vicki Lee, Michelle Jaeger, and Krocka Family PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE CITIZEN COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS None. APPROVE MINUTES OF JULY 11, 2017 MEETING Krocka/Sauer made a motion to approve the July 11, 2017 minutes as presented. Motion carried. COMMUNICATIONS REPORT FROM THE VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR No report. ORDINANCES – RESOLUTIONS – PETITIONS None. REPORTS OF VILLAGE BOARD COMMITTEES Utility Committee No report. Public Works Committee No report. Public Safety Committee No report. Finance Committee Dickmann reported on the meeting of August 1, 2017. Claims for June 2017 in the amount of $639,789.19 were reviewed and approved. The Budget Watch and Investment Reports were reviewed. OTHER MATTERS deBruijn provided an update of the streets project. There will be four (4) concerts in August. An updated flyer has been distributed. The 10 Year Anniversary Celebration will be held on August 16th.  August 1, 2017 Character Counts will be having a Special Recognition Ceremony for Protective Services Personnel. The ceremony will take place at the Port Washington High School Football game on September 8th. OED will be holding its Economic Forecast Breakfast and honoring the Business of the Year on September 26th at 7:00 a.m. The Financial Management Planning Session has been set with Ehlers for Thursday, August 31st at 6:00 p.m. The fence installation at Eddie’s Service has been delayed. The Special Use Permit required completion by 7/31/17. Project completion is expected to be 09/14/17. The Village will be hosting Diversity Training for Management Staff in conjunction with the City of Cedarburg on Tuesday, August 8th. National Night Out will be held on Tuesday, August 15th. REPORTS OF SPECIAL COMMITTEES Plan Commission Dickmann reported on the meeting of August 1, 2017. Minutes from the July 11th meeting were reviewed and approved. A Conditional Use Permit for U-Haul was reviewed and approved. A request for a text amendment was reviewed and recommended to the Village Board for approval. Community Development Authority/Industrial Review Committee No report. Library Board No report. Mid-Moraine Municipal Association The next meeting is scheduled for September. OPERATOR’S LICENSE APPROVALS Krocka/Sauer made a motion to approve New Operator License Applications for Stadler and Gannon for Railroad Station, Sanden for J’Sports Bar, and Kaad for Walgreens. Motion carried. LIQUOR LICENSE APPROVALS Krocka/Sauer made a motion to approve the amendment of Class B Liquor License premise description for 1 day for Firehouse Restaurant, 100 S. Main St. (September 9th) and Saukville Moose Lodge, 193 E. Green Bay Ave. (September 23rd). Motion carried. Krocka/Sauer made a motion to approve a request for Change of Agent (Horace Gant) for Walmart #1650, 825 E. Green Bay Ave. Motion carried. CITIZEN MATTERS AS NOTICED None.  August 1, 2017 REPORT FROM THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT Dickmann read a letter from Trustee Mike Krocka tendering his resignation from the Village Board effective August 10, 2017. Dickmann presented Krocka with a plaque recognizing his 14 years of dedicated service to the Village and its residents. ADJOURNMENT Krocka/Sauer made a motion to adjourn to August 22, 2017.
