January 2, 2018 ***VILLAGE BOARD MINUTES*** January 2, 2018 SAUKVILLE MUNICIPAL CENTER 639 E Green Bay Ave SAUKVILLE, WISCONSIN Village President Barb Dickmann called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. Village Clerk Mary Kay Baumann gave the Statement of Public Notice. Members: Barb Dickmann-present, Dan Sauer-present, David Maglio-present, Michael Gielow-present, Joe Caban-present, and Scott Fischer-present Others Present: Dawn Wagner, Mary Kay Baumann, Chief Goetz, Lt. Meyer, Ray deBruijn, Kristi deBruijn, Jim Nowlen, and Dave Buehler-Ozaukee Press PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE CITIZEN COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS None APPROVE MINUTES OF DECEMBER 12, 2017 MEETING Maglio/Sauer made a motion to approve the December 12, 2017 minutes as presented. Motion carried. COMMUNICATIONS REPORT FROM THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT Dickmann requested the appointment of Richard Belling to fill the vacant Trustee position for the remainder of the term ending in April 2019 vacated by Mike Krocka. Maglio/Gielow made a motion to approve Richard Belling for the Trustee position for the remainder of the term ending in April 2019. Motion carried. REPORT FROM THE VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR Wagner reported that the following events would be taking place. If anyone is interested in attending, please contact Mary Kay. • U-Haul Ribbon Cutting – January 11, 2018 – 3-5 p.m. • SASS Accounting 25th Anniversary Celebration – January 18, 2018 – 4-6:30 p.m. • Mid-Moraine Dinner (Slinger) – January 24, 2018 – 6:00 p.m. • State of the Community Address @ the Legion – January 31, 2018 – 5:30 p.m. PUBLIC HEARING - to hear comments regarding a request for a Zoning District Change from B-2 Retail Shopping Center Business District to B-4 Highway Shopping Center Business District for property at 100 S. Foster Drive Lot 2 of CSM No. 2817 requested by Smith Partnership (approx. 1.005 acres) Tax #110251500600 (8:05 p.m.) Wagner explained the purpose of the zoning change from B-2 Retail Shopping Center Business District to B- 4 Highway Shopping Center Business District and location of the property. Dickmann, hearing no other comments, requested a motion to close the Public Hearing. Maglio/Fischer made a motion to close the Public Hearing. Roll call vote was taken with all in favor. Motion carried at 8:07 p.m.  January 2, 2018 ORDINANCES – RESOLUTIONS – PETITIONS Ord. #781 - Rezoning Property from B-2 Retail Shopping Center Business District to B-4 Highway Shopping Center Business District Maglio/Fischer made a motion to waive the first reading of Ord. #781 - Rezoning Property from B-2 Retail Shopping Center Business District to B-4 Highway Shopping Center Business District. Motion carried. Fischer/Maglio made a motion to waive the reading of Ord. #781 - Rezoning Property from B-2 Retail Shopping Center Business District to B-4 Highway Shopping Center Business District. Motion carried. Sauer/Gielow made a motion to approve Ord. #781 - Rezoning Property from B-2 Retail Shopping Center Business District to B-4 Highway Shopping Center Business District. Motion carried. Minutes from the December 12, 2017 meeting were reviewed and approved. Ord. #782 was recommended to the Village Board for Public Hearing and approval.
