August 4, 2020 202020204020,2 ***VILLAGE BOARD MINUTES*** 020Apri 2020 August 4, 2020 SAUKVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT and VIA ZOOM 649 E. GREEN BAY AVE., SAUKVILLE, WI 53080 Village President Barb Dickmann called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Village Clerk Mary Kay Baumann gave the Statement of Public Notice. Members: Barb Dickmann-present, David Maglio-present(via Zoom), Richard Belling- present(via-Zoom), Scott Fischer-present, Trevor Seitz-present, Jim Nowlen-present(via Zoom), and Andy Hebein-present(via Zoom). Others Present: Dawn Wagner, Mary Kay Baumann, Chief Meyer, Ray deBruijn (via Zoom), and Dan Benson – Ozaukee Press (via Zoom) PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE CITIZEN COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS None. APPROVE MINUTES OF JULY 14, 2020 MEETING Seitz/Fischer made a motion to approve the July 14, 2020 minutes as presented. Motion carried. COMMUNICATIONS REPORT FROM THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT Dickmann thanked members of the Board for their continued support of the meetings being held in-person and through Zoom. REPORT FROM THE VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR None. ORDINANCES – RESOLUTIONS – PETITIONS ORD. #802 –REPEALING AND RECREATING §55-2{9} I, AND AMENDING §§55-2{9} M, 55-5 AND 55-6 (LIQUOR LICENSE) Nowlen/Belling made a motion to waive the first reading of Ord. #802 – Repealing and Recreating §55-2{9} I, and Amending §§55-2{9} M, 55-5 and 55-6 (Liquor License). Motion carried. Hebein/Nowlen made a motion to waive the reading of Ord. #802 – Repealing and Recreating §55-2{9} I, and Amending §§55-2{9} M, 55-5 and 55-6 (Liquor License). Motion carried. Fischer/Hebein made a motion to approve Ord. #802 – Repealing and Recreating §55-2{9} I, and Amending §§55- 2{9} M, 55-5 and 55-6 (Liquor License). Motion carried. REPORTS OF VILLAGE BOARD COMMITTEES Utility Committee No report. Public Works Committee No report. Public Safety Committee No report. Finance Committee Dickmann reported on the meeting of August 4, 2020. August 4, 2020 202020204020,2 Ord. #802 was reviewed and recommended to Village Board for approval. 020Apri 2020 Discussion was held regarding the Labor Day Event. The event will be held on Monday, September 7 th at Grady Park with bands at 3:00 and 6:00 pm. Fireworks display at 8:30 pm. Other Matters: Ordinance updates will be posted in the weekly newsletter, “Saukville Says”. The Financial Management Plan will be discussed at the August 18th Finance Committee Meeting. Discussion regarding “Trustee Comments” on the Village Board Agenda for August 18th. Ozaukee Economic Development will hold its annual event on Wednesday, August 26th at Shully’s in Thiensville. REPORTS OF SPECIAL COMMITTEES Plan Commission Dickmann reported on the meeting of August 4, 2020. The minutes of the July 14, 2020 meeting were reviewed and approved. A request for a 276 sq. ft. additional to Casey’s General Store was reviewed and approved. The Village is continuing to work with Ansay regarding the Destination Saukville Development on the east side of the Village. Community Development Authority/Industrial Review Committee Dickmann reported on the meeting of August 4, 2020. Barb Dickmann was appointed Chairperson of the CDA/IRC. A request for signage at Matrix Packaging was reviewed and approved. Library Board Hebein reported that the Library is currently at 25% occupancy and they are encouraging curb-side pickup. Mid-Moraine Municipal Association No report. OPERATOR’S LICENSE APPROVALS None. LIQUOR LICENSE APPROVALS None. CITIZEN MATTERS AS NOTICED None. ADJOURNMENT Belling/Nowlen made a motion to adjourn.
