She noted seventeen percent of the military is Hispanic and often used the military as a path to citizenship. She added these veterans served Korea and Vietnam conflicts. She also added until recently the military would pull inmates from  who is a deported, yet including the mayor and chief have issued letters of support on his behalf. She added that he is a business owner and hosts local benefits for others. She noted the importance of residents to feel asked Council to Schenectady becoming a sanctuary  as a IS Schenectady.
