CALL TO ORDER AND DETERMINATION OF QUORUM NEW BUSINESS A. FAB Bike Audit Staff: John Scarbrough mentioned that he was a part of the group who did the bike audit with Falls Area Bicyclist, he said that the 15th Street Bike Corridor needed some improvement. Staff indicated that there are more improvements on the 15th Street Bike Boulevard still to come this Fall including bump-outs and RRFB’s at 15th Street and Grange Avenue, a traffic circle at 15th Street and Prairie Avenue, and segments of road resurfacing. Scarbrough mentioned that Rodger with FAB should be sending over the audit to City Staff. B. Metropolitan Transportation Plan Update Staff: Fletcher Lacock Present: Board Chair Fletcher Lacock Lacock went over the slides for the Metropolitan Transportation Plan. He informed the committee that they are currently looking for some public engagement and encouraged members to attend a pop-up event. There was discussion within the committee about advocating more for the importance of bicycling being included in the plan. C. Parks Master Plan update Staff: Fletcher Lacock Lacock went over the update of the Parks Master Plan, which is also in a public input phase. He went over the website where people can submit input online and mentioned to the committee members to keep an eye out for more engagement opportunities. One of the committee members asked about the smaller signs on some bike signage that depict a number and what the number meant. Troy Miller from the City’s Engineering Department said that those numbers were certain routes around town the designated the street as a safe road to commute on a bike. The committee looked at a map showing all the routes. The committee agreed that there should be more advertising of the maps so people know more about what the numbers mean and can use them to get around the city safely. ADJOURN The meeting was adjourned at 4:52pm.
