MINUTES Monday, February 7, 2011 Informational Meeting 4:00 PM at Carnegie Town Hall Sioux Falls City Council 235 West Tenth Street Members Present: Vernon Brown, James Entenman, Greg Jamison, Bob Litz, and Rex Rolfing Members Absent: Sue Aguilar, Kenny Anderson Jr., Michelle Erpenbach, and Mayor Mike Huether Staff Present: Debra Owen, City Clerk/Chief of Council Operations and Tamara Jorgensen, CMC, Assistant City Clerk 1. Call To Order Council Chair Jamison called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. 2. City Council Staff Report A. Debra A. Owen, City Clerk/Chief of Council Operations Owen stated there will not be any amendments at the 7:00 City Council Meeting. Owen updated the Council that Tim and Heidi Buseman are the proud parents of a baby girl named Lily Charlotte Buseman. 3. City Council Open Discussion Brown stated that the Fiscal Committee Meeting is cancelled this evening due to receiving late reports. This meeting will be rescheduled to coincide with the viewing of software at the Health Department. Future dates will be communicated soon. Jamison stated that Rolfing had previously requested the number of total contracts that the City has. City Attorney Pfeifle stated that his office is working on the types of agreements and will be forwarding that information to the Council in the next few days. Entenman participated in a recent Listening and Learning Session with Chief Donn Hill. He stated that the venue was nice but the acoustics are very poor for people to hear the session. He would like to encourage Mayor Huether to explore other venues that will make it easier for the citizens to participate and hear the discussions. 4. Presentations  A. Capital Improvement Program Audit Report by Rich Oksol, Lead Internal Auditor B. In-Home Family Daycare Inspections by Jill Franken, Public Health Director 5.
