MINUTES Monday, February 27, 2012 Informational Meeting 4:00 PM at Carnegie Town Hall Sioux Falls City Council 235 West Tenth Street Members Present: Sue Aguilar, Kenny Anderson Jr., Vernon Brown, James Entenman, Michelle Erpenbach, Greg Jamison, Dean Karsky, Rex Rolfing, Mike T. Huether Members Absent: None Staff Present: Sue Roust, Interim City Clerk; and Denise D. Tucker, CMC, Assistant City Clerk 1. Call To Order City Council Chair Sue Aguilar called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. 2. Staff Report A. Sue Roust, Interim City Clerk Roust gave an update on the Legislative session and items that were of interest to the City Council, and were on their Legislative Priorities list. The Election filing deadline was last Friday and there are 10 candidates for the four City Council seats. The drawing for the order on the ballot will be tomorrow at 11 a.m. Ballots will be printed starting next week. Absentee voting will begin March 12th. 3. City Council Open Discussion Erpenbach said Project NICE and Project KEEP, which involves various City departments hauling away trash from neighborhoods, has been going on for more than 20 years. She said her neighborhood is part of Project NICE this year, which will be from April 16-20. Erpenbach said there will be a volunteer meeting prior to the start date. She said this would be a fun thing for the Council to do. Erpenbach said she is having a listening session for the Central District at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 3rd, at the downtown Main Library. Anderson Jr. asked if a presentation could be scheduled for Project NICE and Project KEEP. Brown said there will be an All Saints Neighborhood Meeting tonight at the  History Club, on Phillips Avenue. Rolfing asked Erpenbach to forward information to the City Council regarding Project NICE and Project KEEP. 4. Presentations A. Railroad Relocation Project Update by Mark Cotter, Director of Public Works; and Joshua Peterson, Principal Engineer 5.
