MINUTES Monday, March 26, 2012 Informational Meeting 4:00 PM at Carnegie Town Hall Sioux Falls City Council 235 West Tenth Street Members Present: Sue Aguilar, Kenny Anderson Jr., Vernon Brown, James Entenman, Michelle Erpenbach, Greg Jamison, Dean Karsky, Rex Rolfing Members Absent: Mike T. Huether Staff Present: Lorie Hogstad, City Clerk; and Jamie L. Palmer, CMC, Assistant City Clerk 1. Call To Order Council Chair Aguilar called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. 2. Staff Report A. Lorie Hogstad, City Clerk Hogstad reported that the voter registration deadline for the April 10th election is today at 5 p.m. Absentee voting began on March 13th and 206 ballots have been voted. She said that election supply suitcases were packed last week and will be taken to the IPC on April 4th. She and Tamara Jorgensen will be attending an e-poll book training session on Wednesday afternoon. She gave a brief overview of the meetings scheduled for this week. 3. City Council Open Discussion Brown stated that there were no requests received for the Fiscal Committee. He asked Council Members to contact him if there are any items for the agenda and added that if there are no items, the meeting will be cancelled. Erpenbach spoke briefly about Community Development Block Grants and will draft a letter, on behalf of the Council, to our congressional delegation. 4. Presentations A. Pension Design Study by Thomas J. Cavanaugh, Cavanaugh Macdonald Consulting, LLC; Pat Beckham, Principal and Consulting Actuary with Cavanaugh Macdonald Consulting, LLC; and Eric Gary, Healthcare Lead Actuary with Cavanaugh Macdonald Consulting, LLC Discussion will continue at the Fiscal Committee meeting on Monday, April 2, 2012. 5.
