MINUTES Tuesday, February 4, 2014 Informational Meeting 4:00 PM at Carnegie Town Hall Sioux Falls City Council 235 West Tenth Street Members Present: Sue Aguilar, Michelle Erpenbach, Dean Karsky, Rex Rolfing, and Kermit L. Staggers Members Absent: Kenny Anderson Jr., James Entenman, Greg Jamison, and Mike T. Huether Staff Present: Tamara Jorgensen, CMC, Assistant City Clerk; and Lorie Hogstad, CMC, City Clerk 1. Call To Order City Council Vice Chair Dean Karsky called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. 2. Staff Report A. Lorie Hogstad, City Clerk Lorie Hogstad, City Clerk, provided an update on Election related activity including nominating petitions, Election letters, website updates, Election day communication equipment, and a review of vote centers and their addresses. Discussion followed. Council Member Kenny Anderson Jr. arrived at this time. 3. Urbanized Development Commission (UDC) A. Report on the meeting held Thursday, January 30, 2014 Council Member Rex Rolfing provided an update on the UDC meeting. The following topics were discussed: approving membership for non-appointed members; reviewing the list of annual obligated projects for 2014 and beyond; and reviewing a TIF for the Transportation Improvement Program. 4. City Council Open Discussion There was none. 5. Presentations A. Spellerberg Conceptual Plan by Don Kearney, Director of Parks and Recreation; and Tory Miedema, Park Development Specialist Don Kearney, Director of Parks & Recreation, reviewed a presentation that included both outdoor and indoor concepts and features of a future pool at Spellerberg Park. 6.
