MINUTES Tuesday, May 12, 2015 Informational Meeting 4:00 PM at Carnegie Town Hall Sioux Falls City Council 235 West Tenth Street Members Present: Kenny Anderson Jr., Christine M. Erickson, Michelle Erpenbach, Dean Karsky, Rick Kiley, and Rex Rolfing Members Absent: Greg Jamison, Kermit L. Staggers, and Mike T. Huether Staff Present: Tamara Jorgensen, MMC, Assistant City Clerk; Jim David, Legislative/ Operations Manager; Dave Bixler, Budget Analyst; and Rich Oksol, Internal Audit Manager 1. Call To Order Council Chair Dean Karsky called the meeting to order at 4 p.m. 2. Fiscal Committee A. Meeting held on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 Council Member Christine M. Erickson provided an update regarding the public facilities fee which included reviewing the audit committee report. Erickson stated the committee will be reviewing the management reports and will have proposed ordinance amendments for review at the June 2, 2015, Fiscal Committee Meeting. Council Member Kermit L. Staggers arrived at this time. 3. City Council Open Discussion There was none. 4. Presentations A. Washington Pavilion Update by Larry Toll and Scott Petersen, Co-Presidents of the Washington Pavilion of Arts and Science Scott Petersen and Larry Toll provided a review of the Washington Pavilion Management, Inc. Statement of Activities: Operating Fund. A copy of this report is attached. Discussion followed.  B. Top Ten Sustainability Projects by Jessica Lantgen, Sustainability Coordinator Mark Cotter, Director of Public Services, provided opening remarks in reference to the Top Ten Sustainability Projects for the City of Sioux Falls. Jessica Lantgen, Sustainability Coordinator, reviewed the following PowerPoint Presentation Slides. This presentation is in order of priority from the lowest to the highest: SD 319 I&E Outreach Grant; Downtown Green Infrastructure Grant; WaterSense Toilets Water Division and Community Development Partnership; SWPB 2015 Priorities; Neighborhood LED Streetlight Pilot; Low-Income Residential Energy Efficiency Assistance; City Facility Recycling Audits; Plumbing Rebate Revisions; Expand Recycling Education to Communities in 5- County Area; Implementation of 2015 Public Education Campaign.
