MINUTES Tuesday, June 30, 2015 Informational Meeting 4 PM at Carnegie Town Hall Sioux Falls City Council 235 West Tenth Street Members Present: Kenny Anderson Jr., Michelle Erpenbach, Greg Jamison, Rick Kiley, Rex Rolfing, and Kermit L. Staggers Members Absent: Christine M. Erickson, Dean Karsky, and Mike T. Huether Staff Present: Tamara Jorgensen, MMC, Assistant City Clerk; Lorie Hogstad, CMC, City Clerk; and David Bixler, Budget Analyst 1. Call To Order City Council Chair Kenny Anderson Jr. called the meeting to order at 4 p.m. 2. City Council Open Discussion Council Member Greg Jamison spoke regarding topics to be discussed in lieu of the Fiscal Committee meeting scheduled for July 7, 2015. 3. Presentations A. Complete Streets Project by Mary Michaels, LiveWell Coordinator; and Sam Trebilcock, Transportation/Transit Planner The following PowerPoint slides were reviewed and discussed: Mike Cooper, Director of Planning and Building Services reviewed Steering Committee and Background. Mary Michaels, LiveWell Coordinator, reviewed: What Are Complete Streets; What Do Complete Streets Look Like; and Project Components. Sam Trebilcock, Transportation/Transit Planner, reviewed: Complete Streets Resolution/Vision; Complete Streets Resolution/Core Commitment; Complete Streets Resolution/Best Practices; and Complete Streets Resolution/ Implementation Plan. Cooper reviewed Policy Support and provided the closing remarks. Discussion was held.  Tamara Jorgensen, Assistant City Clerk, took a moment of personal privilege to wish her grandson, Kalvin Lee Jorgensen, a Happy Birthday on his 1st birthday today. Council Chair Kenny Anderson Jr. announced that the Executive Session was cancelled. 4. Potential Executive Session A. Consult with legal counsel about proposed or pending litigation or contractual matters pursuant to SDCL 1-25-2(3). 5.
