MINUTES Informational Meeting Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at 4:00 PM Carnegie Town Hall, 235 West 10th St., Sioux Falls, SD 57104 1. Call To Order Council Members Present: David Barranco, Miranda Basye, Sarah Cole, Rich Merkouris, Jennifer Sigette, Curt Soehl, Ryan Spellerberg, Richard L. Thomason Council Members Absent: None 2. Councilor Remarks Councilor Jennifer Sigette spoke on the 41st St. Diverging Diamond Interchange ribbon cutting ceremony. 3. Presentations A. EAB & Forestry Grant Update by Brett Kollars, Assistant Director of Parks Presentation: Approximately 10 minutes followed by discussion Brett Kollars, Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation, gave an update on the Emerald Ash Bore and Forestry grant (presentation attached to the agenda). Following the presentation, question asked by the Council were answered by Kollars. B. Floodplain Program 101 by Albert Schmidt, Urban Planner Presentation: Approximately 20 minutes followed by discussion Albert Schmidt, Urban Planner, gave a presentation on the Floodplain Program (presentation attached to the agenda). Following the presentation, there was a detailed discussion that included the June flooding, and questions asked by the Council were answered by Schmidt. 4. Public Comment There were none. 5.
