MINUTES Informational Meeting Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 4:00 PM Carnegie Town Hall, 235 West 10th St., Sioux Falls, SD 57104 1. Call To Order Council Members Present: David Barranco, Miranda Basye, Sarah Cole, Rich Merkouris, Jennifer Sigette, Curt Soehl, Ryan Spellerberg, Richard L. Thomason Council Members Absent: None Council Chair Curt Soehl called the meeting to order at 4 p.m. 2. Committee/Commission Reports A. Accessible Housing Advisory Board: Tuesday, November 5, 2024 (Council Member Merkouris) Councilor Rich Merkouris provided the Accessible Housing Advisory Board update on this meeting. 3. Councilor Remarks Merkouris, Councilors Richard L. Thomason and David Barranco provided takeaways from the recently attended National League of Cities Conference in Tampa, Fla. Soehl mentioned that Tuba Christmas will be held on December 14th. 4. Presentations A. October 2024 Monthly Financial Statement by Shawn Pritchett, Director of Finance Presentation: Approximately 10 minutes followed by discussion Shawn Pritchett, Director of Finance, provided the October 2024 Monthly Financial Statement update (presentation attached to the agenda). Following the presentation, questions from Councilors were answered by Pritchett. B. Via Transit Update by Joe Martin, Partner Success Director for Via Presentation: Approximately 10 minutes followed by discussion  Joe Martin, Partner Success Director for Via, provided the Via Transit update (presentation attached on agenda). Following the presentation, questions from Councilors were answered by Martin. 5. Public Comment Steven Siano spoke about his experiences with the bus system. 6.
