Facilitator - Chair Call To Order Quorum Determination Meeting Procedures - City Staff Approval of Agenda - Chair Made the motion to adopt A motion was made by Svennes, a second by Nelson to approve the November 2024 PTAB Agenda. Motion Passed. PTAB Meeting Minutes - Chair Made the motion to adopt Motion by Tschetter, second by Nelson to approve the October 2024 PTAB Minutes. Motion Passed. Public input on non-agenda items - Chair Five members of the community shared concerns and questions about the system and are summarized below: • Space limitations on the vehicles when there is a wheelchair on board. • Paratransit availability for patrons who have moved. • App challenges – the system will drop riders off at incorrect locations and changing times. • Understanding the new routes enough to be comfortable with them. • Riders have had positive interactions with drivers. • Contact support@siouxfallstransit.com for assistance • The public was reminded that individual questions and challenges could be served best by contacting SAM directly rather than waiting for PTAB. Unfinished Business 1. Via Update - 11/19/2024 City Council Informational Winter 2025 Change Day Staff: Via Update: City Council Informational & Winter 2025 Change Day – Feb. 3, 2025 Torin and Joe, with the contractor of Sioux Area Metro updated the group about recent happenings. Including metrics, growing ridership trends, and strides taken to commingle rides. Key themes were Para transit on time performance and customer service is the key theme in any plans moving forward. Winter change day has been identified for January or February of 2025. This will include minor changes to the system after reviewing data driven results and consumer feedback. New Business 2. Board Member Update Staff: B Schweitzer 4. Allen Svennes and Erik Nelson were recognized for filling their six years of service to PTAB. Director Jeff Eckhoff presented them with a note from Mayor TenHaken, the city’s Challenge Coin as well as a certificate of appreciation. Nikki Whiting was welcomed onto the board, replacing a vacancy, and Kelly Cleveringa was introduced as a replacement of Allen Svennes as of the January PTAB meeting. Royal Sonsalla was not in attendance, however, will be filling Erik Nelson’s PTAB position in January. 3. SAM Phone System Changes Staff: Torin K.  The office phone number will be changing to 605-460-6256 and will include a prompt system to reach your desired department. This change will take place on 12/16/2024. Watch social media, SAM App and www.siouxareametro.info for further details. 4. Transit Facilities Tour - North Dakota Staff: B Schweitzer Tour is postponed until December due to weather. Operations Report Total Rides: 55,790 rides provided in October; YTD ridership is 501,929, an increase from 2023 YTD of 464,584. T indicated that she will be updating the Paratransit Riders Guide reflecting the system update. More details will be provided at the January PTAB meeting.
